There was only one week left in this game, if the Witch was to be believed.

Despite the trial and it's painful conclusion, everything had been quiet over the weekend.

And those that had been lost were supposed to come back on this day. Not only that, but their natural abilities were supposed to return to them this week...🗈

And, indeed, as they wake up on Monday morning - the feeling of their old, lost abilities filters back in.

One promise kept - so will the others be kept, as well? As the prospect of the final week in the game stretches out before them, there's a sense of anticipation in the air...along with the grim knowledge that this weekend, the investigation and trial will happen again.

At least it'll be for the last time, right?

[It's an idle question as she gently rubs Goat-kun's ears, tapping a little at the baby nubs on its head, almost playful. It's not like anyone can pass up the opportunity to see what is possibly the birth of brand-spankin' new goat butler.]

Magic wise, jack and shit. I've become a better fighter with all the adventures I've destroyed, and my summons themselves are stronger.

[Goat-kun giggles, a very human sound even if it has a very goat-like warble to it]

Small wonder you've enough fighting experience to be a teacher. I imagine there have been many adventurers trying to defeat you?

I lost count awhile back. Most of them just charge in and don't plan, so it's not hard.

There are many who think of themselves as heroes, not understanding their place in the world. It is always quite wonderful to watch.

[She doesn't specify what's wonderful about it, but Takashi can probably guess the breadth of her implications.

She'll idly continue petting the kid as she considers its tiny existence.]
