There was only one week left in this game, if the Witch was to be believed.

Despite the trial and it's painful conclusion, everything had been quiet over the weekend.

And those that had been lost were supposed to come back on this day. Not only that, but their natural abilities were supposed to return to them this week...🗈

And, indeed, as they wake up on Monday morning - the feeling of their old, lost abilities filters back in.

One promise kept - so will the others be kept, as well? As the prospect of the final week in the game stretches out before them, there's a sense of anticipation in the air...along with the grim knowledge that this weekend, the investigation and trial will happen again.

At least it'll be for the last time, right?

Then, he's looking to the side for a moment before he's giving a wry smirk, and then muttering: ]

[Silver tilts his head, looking sympathetic] ... You don't have many friends back home, huh.

[ He make a bit of a face, almost like he's unsure how to respond to that, at first. Just gonna settle on smirking a bit. ]

Try 'none'. I never saw any need for them.

Oh. [he sounds more sad about that than judgemental] I can understand that... friends can be a weakness that people who want to hurt you will take advantage of. But I think that having friends, having someone care about you who you can rely on, is worth that risk.

I... want to be your friend, Vanitas. But I understand if you don't want that.

[ A laugh of disbelief is slipping out and aren't you so glad it's nothing like the one from trial... ]

[he nods. Maybe even more, because of what he did -- being willing to risk it all like that, Silver wasn't lying when he said it was brave.]

Huh... if I know I'm being naive... am I actually naive? .... That's a hard one. Maybe I just want to see the best in people.
