MOCK ROUND - WEEK 2
There was only one week left in this game, if the Witch was to be believed.
Despite the trial and it's painful conclusion, everything had been quiet over the weekend.
And those that had been lost were supposed to come back on this day. Not only that, but their natural abilities were supposed to return to them this week...🗈

And, indeed, as they wake up on Monday morning - the feeling of their old, lost abilities filters back in.
One promise kept - so will the others be kept, as well? As the prospect of the final week in the game stretches out before them, there's a sense of anticipation in the air...along with the grim knowledge that this weekend, the investigation and trial will happen again.
At least it'll be for the last time, right?

[ He'll stand up again to go into the stance. ]
Besides, it would have been over in one go.
[ Not several. Keeping the sheath on, and then he'll just nyoom to her lightning fast to try to poke her in the stomach with it. If it connects, it's feather light and without any killer intention. He's just messing around. ]

[She closes her eyes briefly against the breeze.
Opens them when the blade connects, peering down almost curiously at the prod to her midsection. Then she reaches out and a draws a finger up the blade, quick and delicate, testing the metal. It's probably sharp enough to draw blood at a go.
Overall, she doesn't seem like she minds random teenagers running at her with swords.]
In one go. So I see. Your style is rather the opposite of your words, isn't it?
no subject
[ Wow Luna. That would require having self esteem.
He'll let the sword vanish with a red light, putting it away for now. ]
Is it? I never really noticed.
no subject
[We don't know who she's throwing shade on there, but it's probably somebody--
She has on trouble prodding Jack in the theoretical self esteem, anyway.]
You chatter on for far longer than your sword moves.

[ When you use the same weapon for a bunch of life cycles, you wind up pretty attached or something. ]
What can I say? I like talking.
[ Or something. He'll wave his hand like it's nbd ]
no subject
[That's probably rhetorical.
It's a very robot joke, you see. She may not have been reincarnated for thousands of cycles, but as for the attachment thing, well -- let's just say that she is not one to get attached to extra armaments.
She doesn't fight, after all.]
You've talked so much since you came here. And yet I still know very little of you, Jack. You are not like Vanitas, but you are almost as slippery.
[She is a little hard to shake off, though.]
no subject
[ You know what he means. ]
Huh? You know plenty about me. Anything else isn't really that interesting.
[ Just war shit. It's all good. ]
You're much more interesting than all of that. Why don't you share a bit about yourself?
