WEEK 1

You've found a safe haven from the wind and the snow - yet, perhaps you're not quite out of danger yet. The Resort Staff are odd, but seem harmless - jumping to any whim you might have, if it doesn't make them oddly lock up.

The weather all week is perfect - the perfect temp and snow for plenty of skiing. The firepit in the courtyard is always lit too, with ingredients for smores and hot chocolate always available in the lobby. Though...in the halls, a strange bunch of songs keep playing from the hotel's sound system. Is whoever runs this place a weird cover song enthusiast?

So far, everything seems fine....but there's a weird sense of unease lingering over the Resort as everyone wakes up Monday Morning. Maybe that has something to do with that strange memory that popped in your head when you woke up? Or maybe it's that all of you woke up in the middle of a snowstorm, with no memory of how you got there?

In the end...even though everything should be fine, why does it feel like this is only the prelude to a nightmare...?

... of course, the only things you know about Arrancar are what I tell you. In truth, there's no way to prove anything.

Well, that's true. But that's true for a lot of the things on our profiles and the things we say about ourselves, isn't it?

So you're some kind of superpowered ascended ghost... scientist?

[Is she the only one who finds the scientist part almost the weirdest part of this.]

Exactly. It's impossible to know what's really true.

I suppose that's one way of putting it, yes.

But if you get hung up on it, you'll never get anywhere...

Still, what about the Monsters? And what the ghost -- the Apprentice said about how they changed us? Even if you're not human, it's not great, is it?

No, indeed. I would not enjoy being changed into something else against my will, even if I am already what most humans would consider a "monster", albeit a very polite and controlled one. It's a matter of consent, you see.

Hmm, you look pretty human, so does that mean that when you power up you turn into something crazy?

[She'd normally be more polite if she wasn't Blue Angel. But. She's Blue Angel. So you get this.]

I don't think I'd want to be a monster even if they gave me a choice. It's pretty bad for my image.

Haha! Well. I don't think my true form looks very crazy... I remain fairly humanoid, actually. But I think that form is even more beautiful than my sealed one...!

Ah? And what image is that?

I think I'd like to see that sometime...

[She is totally going to regret this train of thought in like, two days. She probably really doesn't want to know?? Curiosity, cat, etc.]

It's my image as an idol, of course. I've never met any monster-themed idols, but either way, that's definitely not my brand at all.

Maybe one day I will show you.

No, I'm not that kind of idol. It's something similar, but I hold Duel Monsters matches instead. That's a card game that we have, where I come from.

Ah, yes. The card game. I must admit, I don't really understand how a childrens' game could become such a phenomenon...

It's far from the only one that is popular, but I think the real charm of it is just... the ability to build a personal deck, and use it to crush your opponents. Besides, since the creation of the virtual world, we've added more physical and visual bonuses to it.

I'm starting to sound like an ad, huh? But it really has taken over the world.

Ah yes, the universal appeal of destroying your enemies. Even if it is through a harmless card game.

Mostly harmless. At the end of the day, the virtual world uses your nervous system and your brain. There are real adrenaline junkies that go pretty far with that. Most of the top duelists are a little more cautious than that.
