WEEK 1

You've found a safe haven from the wind and the snow - yet, perhaps you're not quite out of danger yet. The Resort Staff are odd, but seem harmless - jumping to any whim you might have, if it doesn't make them oddly lock up.

The weather all week is perfect - the perfect temp and snow for plenty of skiing. The firepit in the courtyard is always lit too, with ingredients for smores and hot chocolate always available in the lobby. Though...in the halls, a strange bunch of songs keep playing from the hotel's sound system. Is whoever runs this place a weird cover song enthusiast?

So far, everything seems fine....but there's a weird sense of unease lingering over the Resort as everyone wakes up Monday Morning. Maybe that has something to do with that strange memory that popped in your head when you woke up? Or maybe it's that all of you woke up in the middle of a snowstorm, with no memory of how you got there?

In the end...even though everything should be fine, why does it feel like this is only the prelude to a nightmare...?

Well...that's true!

Although this means that I was right! This hotel is haunted!

[ But he's a friendly ghost!

And the giving a slow little grin like she's learning a secret. ]

Are you scared of ghosts?

Eh, no way! One of my best friends is a ghost! [ and now he stops to think if a heroic spirit even counts as a ghost in the first place ] I...think? Well, I mean they must be dead so...

Huh? You have another friend that's a ghost?

[escardos]

Yeah! Or... something like that? They’re much more powerful than an ordinary ghost, but they are a spirit.

[whirlingmace]

Whoa! Are they like Eidolons then?

[escardos]

Oh? What's an Eidolon?

[whirlingmace]

They are really strong creatures we can summon to do major damage! We aren't allowed to use them without permission.

[escardos]

Oh, that's basically it!! [ he nods, happily! ] I kind of summoned mine without permission, though... but to be fair, I thought I had permission from the Professor!

[whirlingmace]

Whoa! And you didn't die?

[escardos]

Nope! Although my Servant--that's what we call them--did say that, if they had been summoned in another class they would have taken over my body and gone on a killing spree.

[ he shudders ]

Don't wanna think about that! That would've been awful!

[whirlingmace]

Whoa! That would be terrible. I didn't know they could do that! That's scary...

[ :< ]

What kind of class were they?

They're a Berserker! But they're very calm...it's kinda funny, actually! [ he laughs a litle ] Apparently Berserker Servants get some sort of insanity, but that just ended up cancelling out the insanity that my Servant already had. Like when two minus make a plus!

[whirlingmace]

A berserker? [ Flashback for when Queen goes to dark mode. ]

Oh haha... that must be scary.

[ Also huh. This sounds less like her summons. ]

You think so? [ he blinks, tilting his head in curiosity. ] I think it's really cool, actually. And the fact that they're actually really calm is kinda neat, too! Not only that, but they don't actually have a physical form at all...so they can turn into anything or anyone they want!

[justfists]

D-Don't say that so loud!

[sorry she's freaked out a little]

I-I'm sorry?! I didn't know you were afraid of ghosts...

I-I'm not!

[IF LOOKS COULD KILL, FLAT]

But you look really nervous? Or well, now you look angry...

[ if looks could kill, then he'd be like 80% unaffected because he's so clueless ]

Well, it's just one ghost so far, so that's not so bad?
