WEEK 1

You've found a safe haven from the wind and the snow - yet, perhaps you're not quite out of danger yet. The Resort Staff are odd, but seem harmless - jumping to any whim you might have, if it doesn't make them oddly lock up.

The weather all week is perfect - the perfect temp and snow for plenty of skiing. The firepit in the courtyard is always lit too, with ingredients for smores and hot chocolate always available in the lobby. Though...in the halls, a strange bunch of songs keep playing from the hotel's sound system. Is whoever runs this place a weird cover song enthusiast?

So far, everything seems fine....but there's a weird sense of unease lingering over the Resort as everyone wakes up Monday Morning. Maybe that has something to do with that strange memory that popped in your head when you woke up? Or maybe it's that all of you woke up in the middle of a snowstorm, with no memory of how you got there?

In the end...even though everything should be fine, why does it feel like this is only the prelude to a nightmare...?

[Between the announcement, the memory, and the realization that he woke up and he's definitely not back at that Bed and Breakfast listening to I Got You Babe, Phil is really on edge this morning.

This was definitely real. It's real and really bad.

And god damn it he can't believe he's already missing that hell town.

Phil spends most of his morning after the announcement giving everyone wary looks, especially the Staff, rubbing his neck whenever any of them get close to him.

Eventually he does venture to talk to people, since there is a question he really wanted to ask:]

Say, did anything weird happen to you recently? Last night recently, I mean.

[...well. He's not going to be the first to say it.]

Did something weird happen to you last night?

[He nods.]

I guess it was "just a dream", but it felt too real. And I'm not putting it past this shitty staff from fucking with us, especially after what I found out with the rats.

[He did not tell anyone about the rats yet.]

"Weird" as in "I'm pretty sure the people who brought us here are experimenting on us for some reason".

Because either I had the most vivid dream imaginable something is really wrong with this place.

Besides the body parts laying around, of course.

Aside from the fact that we're still held captive here? Not really.

[Honestly that memory was pretty tame for his standards, though he's chalking it up as a dream attempting to Ebeneezer Scrooge him into becoming a better person by essentially showing him the consequences of his actions.]

Wait, I did examine a dead man's skeleton! And found a crime scene. If those count.

... I meant if you had a weird dream last night, but thanks for telling me about the skeleton.

[Phil isn't the only one on edge. but hey, who wouldn't be after a disconcerting memory and an announcement like that one]

[so when Phil approaches, he steps back a bit, shoulders tense]

Weird as in I think trusting the staff here is probably the worst things we could possibly do now?

Nothing weird happened to me. I did have a different dream from the usual though!

Hmmm... nothing happened to me. I guess I had a weird, creepy dream, but... that's it.

I'm pretty sure that dream really happened to us. I can't remember the last time I even had a dream, let alone something that vivid.

He's looking around at everyone who's admitting to the "weird dream," increasingly confused.]

[She really hates where this is going but then she's been hating it for like the last two days so that's nothing new.]

Mm, nothing weird. Yoshi and I stayed up playing on the computer but...

[ he fidgets a little, clearly troubled by something ]

I had a strange dream when I fell asleep-- did that happen to you?

[Ah. And he thought he might've just played too much Minecraft in a creepy resort.]

So I hope you're ready for the real possibility that we're here to be experimented on, kid.

I wouldn't say anything happened, but... there was a weird dream. I'm not really sure what to make of it though.
