WEEK 1

You've found a safe haven from the wind and the snow - yet, perhaps you're not quite out of danger yet. The Resort Staff are odd, but seem harmless - jumping to any whim you might have, if it doesn't make them oddly lock up.

The weather all week is perfect - the perfect temp and snow for plenty of skiing. The firepit in the courtyard is always lit too, with ingredients for smores and hot chocolate always available in the lobby. Though...in the halls, a strange bunch of songs keep playing from the hotel's sound system. Is whoever runs this place a weird cover song enthusiast?

So far, everything seems fine....but there's a weird sense of unease lingering over the Resort as everyone wakes up Monday Morning. Maybe that has something to do with that strange memory that popped in your head when you woke up? Or maybe it's that all of you woke up in the middle of a snowstorm, with no memory of how you got there?

In the end...even though everything should be fine, why does it feel like this is only the prelude to a nightmare...?

[ As a fellow wallflower, Anthy is mainly spending her time sitting quietly and watching the others, so... eventually her gaze falls on that laptop screen.

Those flashing lights are really transfixing. ]

... Hm? Is there something you want?

[ She's still playing pinball, but she can glance up enough to ask, because she does notice someone peering at her screen. ]

I'm sorry, was I looking for too long? I was just thinking that it looks like a fun game.

No, it's fine, I was just a little surprised, I guess?

Ah, sorry, sorry. Is it too much of a distraction if I watch?

[ are you still hitting the wormhole ]

It's fine. If you want to watch, you can. It really doesn't bother me.

At some point Chu-Chu will join her, intently following each movement of the ball with his whole head, in a state of high alert. ]

[ . . . this isn't Super Monkey Ball, Chu-Chu, and while she is playing, she can glance at the monkey for like a second to go, uh: ]

This is Chu-Chu.

[ Chu-Chu confirms this with a Chu!! and a proud pose. ]

Hi, Chu-Chu.

[ She says that rather blandly as her eyes go back to looking back onto the monitor with the pinball. ]

And you?

[ Well, you're obviously Japanese, so. ]

[ She sure is. ]

I'm Inaba Himeko, by the way. [ ... ] Have you never played any games like this before?

[ She shakes her head. ]

I haven't used computers very much.

[ She may be from the latter part of the nineties, but she still has a TV like this... ]
