WEEK 1 - MINGLE

You've found a safe haven from the wind and the snow - yet, perhaps you're not quite out of danger yet. The Resort Staff are odd, but seem harmless - jumping to any whim you might have, if it doesn't make them oddly lock up.
The weather all week is perfect - the perfect temp and snow for plenty of skiing. The firepit in the courtyard is always lit too, with ingredients for smores and hot chocolate always available in the lobby. Though...in the halls, a strange bunch of songs keep playing from the hotel's sound system. Is whoever runs this place a weird cover song enthusiast?
So far, everything seems fine....but there's a weird sense of unease lingering over the Resort as everyone wakes up Monday Morning. Maybe that has something to do with that strange memory that popped in your head when you woke up? Or maybe it's that all of you woke up in the middle of a snowstorm, with no memory of how you got there?
In the end...even though everything should be fine, why does it feel like this is only the prelude to a nightmare...?

[ Like being back at Akademia. ]
I never traveled just to do so. It sounds like it would be a lot of fun. Is there any place you really want to go and see?
no subject
[She's maybe been on school field trips, but never out of the country. This whole ridiculous thing has reminded her how little she's seen of the world; but then again, everything lately in her life has felt like that. Her own world has always been very small, consisting of two siblings against the universe.]
I don't really have any place in mind that I really want to go... Maybe someplace in the mountains. I live next to the sea already.
no subject
[ Used to bloodshed, death, and killing for the sake of a mission is there on her profile. ]
What's there to see on the mountains?
no subject
[Of course it's on her profile, but it's hard to connect that with the girl herself -- and this is the first time Mother or the Dominion have been mentioned in relation to all of that. It does pique her curiosity. It's not like she's a stranger to missions involving family.
Her brother is probably a lot less enthusiastic about having Blue Angel do things than Mother.]
I think it's more about the view from the mountains. You can see so much from there, like you're flying, or like you could see over the edge of the earth.
[And after her last two times being shut up in her own head, and the little, narrow bubble of her life, it's a view with promise.]
no subject
[ She frowns for a moment though. ]
It was really, really hard at the end.
{ Leeeet's not talk about the end though. ]
Whoa! So it's like being on an airship!
no subject
[The everyone part. Maybe the end part. But yeah, all things considered, they probably shouldn't talk about the end at a sleepover with everyone, and everything else they're trying to do.
(Blue Angel will remember this.)
So instead, she just nods, and blinks a little at the minor topic shift. Cinque is really hard to keep up with sometimes. Probably most of the time.]
I've never been on an airship. Is it like being on an airplane?
[Do they have airplanes....]
no subject
[ She has no idea. ]
no subject
[Most airplanes look like birds, right? She's not sure what most airships look like.]

no subject
I guess airships are more scenic, too.
[It's kind of weird to think of machines powered by magic, actually, but it happens a lot in fiction so you know what -- she'll accept it.]
no subject
[ She means all the smoke and the flashes. ]
no subject
Dropped down, huh... I guess they weren't really used for sightseeing. But if you could take an airship anywhere, where would you go, Cinque?
no subject
no subject
[She doesn't even show surprise at being thrown geographical terms that ring zero bells anymore. This is just their collective lot in life at this point.]
no subject
[ She's pointing with her fingers. ]
no subject
[Not that she really knows how to play in the snow very well. There are a few things she wants to try, but still.]
... but I'm kind of tired of it already.
no subject
[ Cinque could show her! She built snowmen with Inaba and tried burying Akira! She's practically an expert now. ]
Maybe a trip the beach first?
no subject
Everyone else...?
[She figures, from the mention of 'Mother', that everyone else isn't exactly referring to people here -- and Cinque keeps saying 'we', so probably people from home, right?]
But a beach does sound pretty good right now. Real sunlight and water...
[Look, she's a portside city girl. Having water nearby is important.]
no subject
[ She really misses them, but she knows they aren't lonely! They are still with each other after all ]
We came from this small island next to Akademia! The Sorcery Division owned the whole thing! It was very nice.
[ She knows that feeling ]
no subject
[She's no language expert, so she doesn't really pick up well on the numbering scheme -- especially with Cinque's embellishments -- but of course Cinque's embellishments are a category of interesting all on their own. She really wonders what the actual names are at this point.]
It sounds like someplace with, uh, magic. Is that where you learned to... set things on fire, and everything?
no subject
[ And yes, numbering schemes are a thin. ]
We're special, so we learned how do magic before going there.
no subject
[That might be curiosity in her voice, or a smidge of envy, or just confusion because the names are still tripping her up and she's not sure why Cinque decided to remind her what a mother is called. Most of it is just chalked up to Cinque being Cinque. The other parts are Aoi being Aoi.]
Does that mean all of you are actually that good at magic?
[It's kind of skepticism, and kind of wondering. What must it be like to have that much family, all in the same class? She's really not sure what that would look like.]
no subject
[ With her big mace! ]
I guess it is big, huh? There's twelve of us. We're supposed to be facing everything together.
[ That's when her voice falters and she lowers her gaze. The exuberance that was there dims a bit. ]
no subject
[It was a really big mace, she remembers. But then -- of course, she should have expected that talking about family and back home would get even Cinque down; or maybe especially her, since she seems to latch on to people pretty hard no matter when or where. She's not sure how to deal with it, just in general.]
... It is always better to face things with family, isn't it? I just have one brother, but we've never been separated. Not really.
no subject
And yup she did latch on pretty hard. She's not used to being alone like this without Mother or the others there. There's no War, but there's no family either. No orders or anything at all.]
It is! We could do anything so long as were together.
