WEEK 1

You've found a safe haven from the wind and the snow - yet, perhaps you're not quite out of danger yet. The Resort Staff are odd, but seem harmless - jumping to any whim you might have, if it doesn't make them oddly lock up.

The weather all week is perfect - the perfect temp and snow for plenty of skiing. The firepit in the courtyard is always lit too, with ingredients for smores and hot chocolate always available in the lobby. Though...in the halls, a strange bunch of songs keep playing from the hotel's sound system. Is whoever runs this place a weird cover song enthusiast?

So far, everything seems fine....but there's a weird sense of unease lingering over the Resort as everyone wakes up Monday Morning. Maybe that has something to do with that strange memory that popped in your head when you woke up? Or maybe it's that all of you woke up in the middle of a snowstorm, with no memory of how you got there?

In the end...even though everything should be fine, why does it feel like this is only the prelude to a nightmare...?

[ So, it looks like they're really in for it, and though Roxas was hoping that maybe it'll just all turn out to be a bad dream, every day that passes by convinces him of it less. There's only a day left before apparently this game of theirs kicks into full gear and they've still nothing to show of it.

Roxas is fed up with it.

The blond early in the day wanders nearby room 105 and flags down any nearby staff with a handwave. ]

Hey, do you have a moment? I need you to do something for me. Now.

[ After that, Roxas is briefly in the lobby eying that staircase, and then enters into the reception area relatively shortly. His natural curiosity looks like he's going to try to keep going. Too bad he's not going to get too far.

Then, he can be seen in the restaurant, picking at the food in front of him, but not really digging into it. If anyone walks in, he'll look up. ]

Going to eat something too?

[ He's trying his best to get along with everyone. They need to work together to get out of this mess, after all. ]

[ Curious. He's not the type to stop someone from doing something strange, but given what's happening his own curiosity gets piqued when he sees someone acting like this.

brb following roxas. ]

[ The blond steps closer to the staircase, pushing aside some of the construction signs left around because he's not about to listen to any of that, apparently.

Then he continues forward...except he really doesn't get that far before one moment he's there and the next moment he's not.

Instead he's reappeared on a couch in the lobby for his efforts, which when he realizes, decides to get up and just angrily kick at it instead. ]

... [ ... For a long, long while he stares at where Roxas used to be. He should leave it at that, he knows he should leave it at that.

But very, very warily he creeps forward to stand right where Roxas was anyway. This ends as usefully as Roxas' attempted—meaning, not at all. Try not to kick the heavy armored dude when he drops down, okay, Roxas? ]

[ But sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

Roxas was about to kick the couch again, but he stopped half way when he saw Gerome in the couch's spot. ]

...Were you trying to leave the resort?

[ Because he sure didn't know the guy followed him. ]

Er. No.

[ Thanks for not kicking him, which he only barely kind of knows based on Roxas' pose. Awkwardly, he gets to his feet and steps away from the couch. ] ... I was following someone.

You were? Were you following me?

[ He smiles a little as he finds the idea a bit funny, and he doesn't look all that offended at all. ]

... I may have been.

[ The smile only serves to embarrass him, tbh. ]

[ Poor Gerome. ]

It's okay, you were just curious and wanted to see if it went anywhere too, right?

[maskarang]

... I did. [ More pauses. He's full of 'em. ] You are unusually accepting of a strange man following you in secret.

[ At that he'll just...shrug. ]

You weren't really following me for that long, so I guess I'm not too weirded out about it.

[maskarang]

[ How is he the one that's weirded out right now? ]

It's true I wasn't, but you should try to be more cautious. And... less forgiving.

[13thpromise]

[ He really doesn't see what the big deal is...it's in the middle of the day, so...he just sort of looks at him a little.

He just looks pouty for a moment though. What're you, his mom?

But, alright he's right, he'll acknowledge it. ]

Yeah, okay, I get it.

[ ... ]

But, if you ever want to look around with me to find stuff in the future, you can just ask instead of saying nothing.

Perhaps I will. In the future. [ Probably won't, in all honesty. Gotta live that lurker life. ]

Yes? What do you need, Mr. Roxy?

[13thpromise]

I need to see The Lady right now.

[ Then Roxas begins to stare down the Staff because he knows this isn't going to go easily. ]

[foundationmods]

We're sorry, but The Lady is very busy right now. She can't be disturbed.

[13thpromise]

I wasn't asking.

[ His eyes narrow ]

If you don't bring her here right now, I'll trash this whole place and bring it down!

[foundationmods]

Please don't do that, Mr. Roxy. We have already requested that you do not damage the resort.

[But yeah, they're not bringing The Lady out.]

[13thpromise]

You've done nothing but be liars and help keep us trapped in this stupid resort to force us to play this messed up game of yours, why should I listen to any of YOU?!

[ His voice has definitely risen as he's become more agitated. ]

If you can't or won't bring her out, then your only other choice is to bring me to her!

[foundationmods]

That...isn't possible either, Mr. Roxy.

[The Staff member looks like they're getting a little upset.]

We're sorry that you're feeling this way, but there's nothing we can do.

[ What is with that expression?, he wonders. What gives them the right to act like they actually can care, when they're even lying with every expression they make!?, is the next harsh that thought comes along. He doesn't believe for a second that they're as helpless as they make themselves out to be.

Roxas runs through a few possibilities:

He can try to make good on his threat, he can try to fight all of them--but would it matter? Would it do anything or would it just make things harder for everyone else instead? It just makes him angrier considering it, but his aggressive posture lessens. ]

Is that true or are you just saying that?! None of us wanted to be here! None of us chose to participate in this stupid game of yours! Some of us wanted to live a normal life and have fun with our friends without having to worry about people killing each other in a twisted game, that's it!

[ He takes a pause, settling for a moment. ]

You know what, fine! If you won't do any of those, then just tell her something for me:

Next time I see you, I'll bring you down, and we'll all put a stop to this. Every single one of us!

And even if you can't do that much, you can just go.

[foundationmods]

[The Staff member looks even more upset, now - and lowers their head, looking at the ground.]

....Of course. Mr. Roxy. We'll - we'll tell her.

[The Staff member immediately vanishes after speaking.]

[ Another expression of sorts, and their reaction is far from what he expected - then again, his expectations were literally full-on mockery, so. But were they upset because he found them out (as he assumes this to be the case) or...

He'll shake his head, looking vaguely put out as he watches the Staff member vanish, and then head off on his own. ]
