MOCK ROUND - WEEK 1

All of the guests awoke in their rooms, just like they had before.

Yesterday had been a day of surprises.
First, they'd finally met the person who had brought them here.
Secondly, they'd learned they were going to be playing a false murder mystery for two weeks.
And most important, they learned that wishes could be granted if they won this game.🗈

Still, for now, it seemed like there wasn't much to do. Was the Witch already in talks with the 'Murderer'? Was the 'victim' already decided upon?

There was no way to know until some day later this week, apparently.

Still, it wasn't all bad. The island was beautiful and the climate just perfect for beachgoing, or taking a cosy walk in the garden. There were also board and card games which would be produced upon request, to help ease the boredom of it all.

Though, perhaps the guests would prefer to get to know each other instead? On maybe get into some trouble as they roamed the island.

Yet, with only a fake game in front of them....there's no proper sense of foreboding, is there?

....But maybe all of this...

...Is just the calm before the storm.

[ There's a pause. He might be calmly glancing to the side, paying attention to who's nearby - if anyone. ]

I was created when Master Xehanort extracted the darkness from Ventus' heart. So... [ shrug ] that's what my "birth" amounts to.

I'm all the negativity that existed inside someone else. I'm not even a full person.

SO this Xehanort person is your dad and this Ventus person is your weird heart mom.

[ He... probably makes a face Takashi could see as hilarious??? But he looks so fucking offended by this concept. ]

[ Let's make use of some of that new language Takashi has been teaching him, either intentionally or unintentionally. Or both. ]

Master Xehanort just needs me to accomplish his goal and Ventus is more like the other half of the heart.

[So less mom, more brother? He doesn't say that considering how affronted Vanitas looked... even if the dismay makes him smirk a little]

And I'm guessing Xehanort isn't exactly the loving father type?

[ The look he's giving probably tells enough. He shrugs, managing something... nonchalant as he just smirks, the next words being meant as more of a joke than anything: ]

You've been more like a father to me than he's ever been.

[ ... But, in the next moment, the way his brow tenses and he just briefly glances to the side? Well, that might make it obvious that he's not entirely sure that's a joke. ]

He's my Master... Nothing more, nothing less.

[Takashi's expression is almost soft at that. Hm]

Then why not just fuck off?

[If Xehanort made him, but Vanitas didn't feel anything for him and he's a prick, why stay?]

You're strong enough you could handle yourself just fine.

[ That gets an... odd look, to say the least. Maybe it'll be obvious he's never been told anything like this? How deal with dad believing in him...... ]

Heh... [ shaking his head ] That's out of the question.

He'd come after you?

[oh, Takashi actually looks a little pissed]

[ There's a soft blink. This is... interesting.

He's quiet - contemplative - for just a moment, and then a small smirk forms. There's something akin to disbelief on his face. ]

It's thanks to him, I have a purpose now. Not only did he make me, but he also made me what I am.
