MOCK ROUND - WEEK 1

All of the guests awoke in their rooms, just like they had before.

Yesterday had been a day of surprises.
First, they'd finally met the person who had brought them here.
Secondly, they'd learned they were going to be playing a false murder mystery for two weeks.
And most important, they learned that wishes could be granted if they won this game.🗈

Still, for now, it seemed like there wasn't much to do. Was the Witch already in talks with the 'Murderer'? Was the 'victim' already decided upon?

There was no way to know until some day later this week, apparently.

Still, it wasn't all bad. The island was beautiful and the climate just perfect for beachgoing, or taking a cosy walk in the garden. There were also board and card games which would be produced upon request, to help ease the boredom of it all.

Though, perhaps the guests would prefer to get to know each other instead? On maybe get into some trouble as they roamed the island.

Yet, with only a fake game in front of them....there's no proper sense of foreboding, is there?

....But maybe all of this...

...Is just the calm before the storm.

Not like that. [ ... ] But, we can change that if we take a moment to find something to get that chain off.

I supposed that'd be true. But I can't remove it.

[She meets his frown with a sad smile.]

I can help you remove it if you can't. There's no reason why anyone should have to go around wearing a chain.

[ Riku isn't like super protaggy but...even something like this kind of bugs him a little. Enough that he'd want to help--granted he's ignorant of the circumstances surrounding the chain's existence, but hey. ]

That isn't what I meant... If I took it off here and returned to my cell without it, I would be in a lot of trouble.

[It wouldn't be too serious because the jailer was her twin but still questions.]

...Were you a prisoner before you came here?

[ That's kind of unfortunate. ]

Yes. I am allowed to leave my cell, as long as I am wearing this and cover my face.

But not permanently?

No. It's only for another week... Well another three weeks with all this.

[It's technically true...]

[ He doesn't like the idea still, but he can't force her to. Especially if it'll possibly make things difficult in her homeworld when she returns. ]
