All of the guests awoke in their rooms, just like they had before.

Yesterday had been a day of surprises.
First, they'd finally met the person who had brought them here.
Secondly, they'd learned they were going to be playing a false murder mystery for two weeks.
And most important, they learned that wishes could be granted if they won this game.🗈

Still, for now, it seemed like there wasn't much to do. Was the Witch already in talks with the 'Murderer'? Was the 'victim' already decided upon?

There was no way to know until some day later this week, apparently.

Still, it wasn't all bad. The island was beautiful and the climate just perfect for beachgoing, or taking a cosy walk in the garden. There were also board and card games which would be produced upon request, to help ease the boredom of it all.

Though, perhaps the guests would prefer to get to know each other instead? On maybe get into some trouble as they roamed the island.

Yet, with only a fake game in front of them....there's no proper sense of foreboding, is there?

....But maybe all of this...

...Is just the calm before the storm.

[ That's...interesting, it looks like they've been spied on their entire stay here, but he can't exactly say he's surprised. He mutters to himself: ]

One of the witches?

[ Then, Riku watches the figure quietly for a moment. But, he has questions so he doesn't keep it quiet for long. ]

Hey, do you got a moment? I've got some questions I'd like to ask you.

[ Whoa Riku. Just going to put a hand on him in case he needs to pull his ass back away from the figure. ]

Hello. We uh. Don't mean any harm. Just passing through trying to see what's out here.

[ Please don't notice that two of the three have sharp implements. ]

[ JUST WATCHING AND LISTENING FOR NOW... He's hanging back in the doorway, gaze occasionally shifting to the other room it felt like someone or something was in. ]

[The figure jerks at hearing that, twirling around out of their seat to look at the three of them. There's only a moment's pause before the figure appears to scream, though none of them can hear it - and lashes their arms out in what appear to be punches...though their limbs seem rather skinny.

The punches, well....you don't feel anything when you're punched by a shadow on the wall, right?]

[ They don't feel anything yet. What if this is some kind of creeping shadow thing where it'll haunt you later on. He is yanking Riku back, and bringing up his ~~sword~~stick up to try to defend against the shadow blows.

Does he even feel any of it hitting his stick? ]

Whoa. Sorry. We'll just be on our way. No need to get all punchy on us?

[ Can they back up to the door? ]

[ . . . huh.

Interesting.

Annnnnd since he never left the doorway, he's just going to casually step back into the hallway, one hand sliding into a pocket as he waits to see if the other two can get out of there.

Good luck... or something. ]

[ THANKS Vanitas, you're a pal.

Riku on the other hand is not deterred in the slightest when it screams silently, though luckily Jack is there to yank him back before he considers fisticuffs as a viable option.

...Not that he was going to, but still. ]

We should probably just go.

[ Time to back up now to the door... ]

Yeah, someone is way ahead of you.

[ People who are named VANITAS. Jack keeps his stick raised, and puts himself between Riku and the shadow while they head baaaaack to the door. ]

[ Why you gotta yell his name like that.

Also, he's going to just be walking over to stick his ear to that other door while he's out here.

Not going in yet, since the other two ~~of the Three Stooges~~ aren't currently out here. ]

[Well, after that punch, the figure stops...and stares for a moment.

Then goes back to the ball, and makes it so it's from...jack's viewpoint.

The figure stares at the ball, then slaps a hand over their face. After a moment, they grab a broom from the corner - and much like an angry mother, proceed to help them out by shooing them out with a broom that looks like it's floating in mid-air to them, but clearly held by the figure on the shadow on the wall.

You can almost hear the 'and STAY out!' as the door closes behind them, and locks with a loud click.]

[ Okay, that sure is a thing that happened, and here he was just calmly trying to initiate a conversation. Riku is not surprised, though, considering his luck with these sorts of things. ]

That went well.

[ Time to head over to Vanitas now, to see what he's doing with the other door. ]

...Might as well just open up.

[ Okay. For it looks like the person doesn't even get how they look from his point of view or something? Huh? Lowering his stick and then they are rebroomed from the room. ]

Whoa. Rude. What do you think that was about?

[ He does seem to relax a bit, but also just... going to look at Vanitas and Riku. He only has one hand if he needs to yank someone back. ]

Maybe let's skip on asking any questions this time.

Huh. You two survived, after all.

[ Congrats.

... Annnnnd fair enough. He's just going to open the door, then! ]

[The door opens into a more spacious area - a bit like the master bedroom, but less....occulty. It looks very opulent, though - and there's a long haired figure, just like the other one in the other room, the silhouette bright against the wall.

They're seated at a desk, and as they enter, the figure seems interested in the crystal ball nearby - but they notice the movement....and smile.

...Then, they point a finger at all three of them - and suddenly, All of them feel very, very ill. Nausea and Vertigo, all at once.]

...We need to go. Now.

[ Riku isn't quite as not worried with this one, apparently, taking no chances here as a feeling of sickness comes over him. He gingerly begins to reach out to Vanitas since he's probably the one in front and sees about trying to give a tug on his arm before stepping back.

He's going to do the same for Jack too if he's being slow. ]

[ Welp. ]

Definitely agreeing there. Haha... could have just put up no trespassing signs. I'm not feeling so hot...

[ He hates being sick. Just going to put a hand on Riku in turn. They can all support each other just for this time, okay?

Let's go go go. ]

[As they leave, they hear a low, haunting chuckle from the figure, as it holds what appears to be a pen, writing something down.

The moment they leave the room...The mansion itself vanishes, leaving nothing but an empty expanse of grass on a cliff overseeing the ocean.

...Like the Mansion was never there to begin with.]

[ He pulls at the tug on his arm, only to sway dangerously...

There's a look of frustration at that, but he's going to use the wall as support along the way. ]

Great work, guys. We really learned a lot...

[ How long is the feeling going to last? ]

[For about ten minutes.
