MOCK ROUND - WEEK 1

All of the guests awoke in their rooms, just like they had before.

Yesterday had been a day of surprises.
First, they'd finally met the person who had brought them here.
Secondly, they'd learned they were going to be playing a false murder mystery for two weeks.
And most important, they learned that wishes could be granted if they won this game.🗈

Still, for now, it seemed like there wasn't much to do. Was the Witch already in talks with the 'Murderer'? Was the 'victim' already decided upon?

There was no way to know until some day later this week, apparently.

Still, it wasn't all bad. The island was beautiful and the climate just perfect for beachgoing, or taking a cosy walk in the garden. There were also board and card games which would be produced upon request, to help ease the boredom of it all.

Though, perhaps the guests would prefer to get to know each other instead? On maybe get into some trouble as they roamed the island.

Yet, with only a fake game in front of them....there's no proper sense of foreboding, is there?

....But maybe all of this...

...Is just the calm before the storm.

[from all the exploring raenef has been doing, it is inevitable that he would start to feel hungry and finds himself in the kitchen to check it out. he ventures further inside and he easily smiles when he spots the vanitas nearby some pastries] Wow— all this food looks really good.

[enter_the_darkness]

[ He glances over at the blond, and then back over to the food. ]

Does it?

[ Vanitas can't say there's anything super special about it, given he hasn't tried it.

... Cue stomach growl, apparently. ]

Yeah! [he definitely hears that stomach growl too] Come on— it sounds like you're hungry too.

[he picks up a piece of cake for himself then offers a slice of it to him] You should at least try it!

[enter_the_darkness]

[ . . . . . . mmmmmmmmMMMMMM...

Okay, fine. He'll take the cake, but... he's just looking down at it, for now. Cake... helmet... cake......

... helmet.

For now, he chooses helmet??? Because he's dumb. ]

You seem awfully happy over it.

[resealed]

Because it's cake! [vanitas please. how is that not obvious?]

Ah— [raenef just stares at him for a moment giving him a curious look as he seems to just hold the cake in his hand after taking it instead of eating it] You're going to try it, right?

[enter_the_darkness]

[ . . . . sigh.

After a pause, he's going to set the cake down, and then. Finally, he'll be removing that stupid helmet!!! He takes a moment to very briefly brush a hand through his hair before he starts to quietly dig into the cake. ]

[resealed]

[raenef just smiles at that when vanitas takes his helmet off and actually starts to eat the cake like he suggested] So what do you think? It tastes good, right?

[enter_the_darkness]

[ He's briefly staring at the cake with lifted brows... Huh. And with an expression like he's wearing, you'd think he'd say-- ]

It's not awful.

[ --something other than that, maybe. :/ ]

[raenef is finishing off his own piece of cake in the meantime and hearing the response, he grins and he takes that answer to mean that he does like it so he counts this as a success!!] See— I told you it was good!

[ Juuuuust sighing and shaking his head. ]

I'm guessing you just really like sweet stuff...

Yeah, of course! It doesn't hurt that it tastes really good too.

[enter_the_darkness]

[ He's quietly considering the cake for a moment, and there's just a fraction of a second here where his expression is softer. ]

... It's still kind of new, for me.

[resealed]

It is? Wait, it's your first time trying it then?

[enter_the_darkness]

[ He gives a wry sort of smirk... ]

Not the very first, no.

[resealed]

Did you mean the type of cake or something else?

[enter_the_darkness]

This kind.

[ But, also, it's kinda complicated. ]
