Everyone's time is running out - but on friday, the lights return back to normal light, and the rats squeak loudly, clawing at the plastic of their little closed off areas.
Something is happening - and it seems the time has come for action.
[ And suddenly he has knives between his fingers. So many knives. He's just going to place the boxes so that he can have the tip of each knife penetrate a button - they're like extended fingers for bigger range! ]
[ That's certainly...unique but kind of cool too, so.
Roxas just summons both Oathkeeper and Oblivion, using both Keyblades to shoot out a light from each keyblade towards a few of the other buttons for activation purposes at the same time. ]
Okay no but I hate you for that - The notes play as it's switched, and the panel slides back closed - before the hatch to the trapdoor opens, leading down into an area of flickering lights.
[As they enter down the trapdoor, they find themselves in a wide area like the lobby, lights flashing on the walls on and off like glowing moss, the light level itself being just bright enough to not give anyone a seizure or a headache.
Though as they get to the center, a bright light suddenly flashes - and something begins to play in front of them in the wide gap created by the light:]
”Rise and shine!”
It’s early enough in the morning that the moon is still shining outside. Just moments ago, a red-headed teenager had been sleeping peacefully in his bed. But then a black man kicks down the door and shouts the previous sentence, which makes the him bold upright in bed, screaming in terror at the sudden intrusion.
The teenager looks around the room in a panic, until his gaze settles on the man, and he scowls.
“It’s five in the goddamn morning - what do you want?!”
The man cheerfully responds with, “It’s breakfast time! We gotta eat early before training, you know how it goes.”
“Training?! But we’re on a mission, Reyes!”
“Even on a mission you have to train your mind and body. Get up at five, eat and get dressed, and start training by six. We’ll skip the weight training since there’s no gym here, but we can do cardio, and maybe a few laps in the pool. Then at eight we’ll shower and get started with our work.”
The boy just stares at the man for a moment longer. Then he flops back down in bed and pulls the blanket over his head.
The man responds by walking over to the bed, rolling the boy up like a burrito, and then hoisting him over his shoulder to carry him out. The boy struggles during this, yelling at the man to put him down and let him out of the blankets, but the man pays no mind to it. Instead, he says, “I guess I’ll be getting some weight training after all!” As he easily carries the boy out of his room and down the hall.
[The light fades after that - but it was like you'd been watching from a camera on the wall, or something like that.]

I suppose we should push the buttons now.

Inside of it is...
grooves in the shape of a music staff, with buttons on each line and space.
There are 12 columns - enough for one button to be pushed in each column.]

Finally something up my alley.

We press more buttons?
[ He's probably somewhat musically inclined (singing wise) since he's half-Disney but. Also what is he even looking at here.
What happens if he tries to push a button in the first column? Does a sound come out? ]

It's a melody lock, we gotta play the right tune.

6 of them seem to hit an E note, and 6 hit a d.
However, now you have to ask yourself - are you looking at a major or minor scale?]
no subject
Hmm... E's and D's.

E's and d's...?
Wait, wasn't there something the ghosts found too?
[ The "eeedddeeeddd" thing... ]
Do you think it has something to do with that?

Shall we continue?

Roxas snorts a little at that. ]
...Yeah we should.
[ An area of flickering lights, huh? It's okay, a little bit of darkness never hurt anyone. ]
no subject
Let's go then!
[ into the trapdoor ]

But then he's back to business, pulling out his guns because well... better safe than sorry. ]
