Intro log: Welcome to The Resort!

Before you even open your eyes, you can tell something is not right. It's cold. Not quite unbearably so, but cold enough that you can take notice of it. And as soon as you open your eyes, you will be able to see why it's so cold: you're in the middle of a snowy forest, with only a single two-lane road cutting through the thick trees.
Unfortunately, you seem to be without transportation. Fortunately, you are wearing warm clothes and snow gear, so freezing isn't an immediate problem. But without transportation, you're in for a long walk ahead of you.
There are others around as well. Other people, just as lost and confused as you are. Everyone seems to be lacking any memory that might explain why everyone is here. As far as anyone knows, all of you were just ripped out of your previous lives and dumped here on this snowy road, wearing snow gear and having any items that are important to you already on hand. And for some of you, you even have a new power, one that you somehow instantly know how to use...
Two ways to go: forward and back. Despite having no indication of which way is the 'right' way, you feel drawn towards one direction in particular. Going 'back' is possible, but you get the feeling that you will be even more lost if you try. And given that you have no food or water on you, it's best to keep moving forward.
So, are you ready to walk? Because you have a long road ahead of you.
((Welcome to The Resort! Your characters will have any objects or animals with them that they should have given their canon point, but are dressed in cold weather clothing.
This prompt is just the first part of the intro log. New top-levels will go up over the course of the weekend as everyone progresses from 'where the hell am I?' to the resort proper, and to getting settled in. For now, just start with this prompt. We'll link further updates here for easy access.))

Hm.
Before she has much of a chance to think of the implications of this situation, the small animal on her shoulder lets out a powerful sneeze that propels him backwards, where he hits a tree and promptly gets buried under the snow that falls down from the branches. ]
Ah-! Chu-Chu...
[ And the search and rescue mission begins. ]
no subject
He can't help but come closer.]
Do you need help...?
no subject
Yes, my friend got buried under the snow here...
[ She kneels down near the spot where the branches just dumped their snow, and if Minato joins her, he will indeed hear a sad, muffled chuuuuu... from under the snow.
It's worth noting that she doesn't look terribly worried. This kind of thing happens a lot. Well, the snow is new, but. ]

It's sooo coooold.]
I wish whoever gave me this nice coat would've given me gloves too.
no subject
Oh, do you want to wear mine?
[ Holds out her hands; they are very fitted faux-leather gloves that probably are not going to fit anyone bigger than her, so it's kind of an empty gesture, but she's being polite. ]
no subject
I appreciate it, but you should keep them on. One of us may as well be warm.
[It's fine!!]
As soon as we find your friend, I'll put my hands back in my pockets.
no subject
All right, then.
[ She clasps her comparatively warm, gloved hands together under her chin and watches.
There does seem to be some movement under the snow after a few seconds! Almost like there's some kind of weird vacuum effect or something in one particular spot.
It's pretty obvious, she doesn't think she needs to point it out. ]

Minato reaches out to try to scoop out the rest of the snow and...
Then...
...the remainder of the snow collapses back onto Chu-Chu. Thankfully it's just a thin layer this time, but.]
Oops.

Whoa! That was an impressive sneeze! I think that's the most powerful one I've ever seen!
[Yoshi. Is this really what you want to be focusing on right now.]
no subject
[ On his behalf.
She kneels down and speaks to the pile of snow. ]
Chu-Chu, you got a compliment.
no subject
Never seen something like that before... what is he?
no subject
[ There are some quiet but determined chu! noises coming from under the snow as said friend works on tunneling his way out. ]
no subject
[Whoaaa!]
It's nice you could bring a friend with you!
[He's really happy for you, stranger!]
no subject
[ She picks up a twig and, after listening for a moment, sticks it into the snow near what she thinks his position should be.
This is just like fishing, but in snow instead of water, and for tiny monkeys instead of fish. ]

[Blue Angel was just passing by, but the ridiculously huge sneeze from the tiny source (that she didn't even get a good look at before it rocketed away) makes her jump and wobble on her trusty hoverboard way, and she's busy scrambling to keep upright before she looks around again.
And by that time there's just Anthy also scrambling and some snow flurries from Chu-Chu's flight into blizzard space.]
Huh? What just came flying at me?
no subject
Ah-- I'm sorry, did we make you fall?
no subject
[She wouldn't be a very good speed duelist if a flying projectile, alive or not, managed to knock her off her board around here. Blue Angel shakes herself a little, smooths out her skirts and comes gliding over to check out Anthy's situation.]
... We?

[It's half to herself, so she doesn't bother to explain what she's talking about before looking around at the... snow and more snow. After that little explosion, she was expecting to be able to find this mystery projectile a lot more easily.]
What happened to him? He didn't... fall down the mountain?
[Presumably Anthy would be a lot less calm in that case, but??]
no subject
Just call him Achoo-Chu. ]
Oh, no, I think he's just under the snow. He couldn't have gone too far.
[ Thank you, Tree, for bravely staying rooted in his trajectory. ]

[He sounds worried even beyond their frightening situation as he sees that, takes a few steps towards her.]
You need a hand?

[He steps forward, taking care not to step in the new snow that's fallen from the tree as he bends down to start brushing through it.]
I'm sure he'll be okay.
no subject
[ She appreciates the care with which you are approaching this situation, though! She'll stand off to the side a bit to stay out of the way.
Meanwhile, there's a muffled rustling sound coming from under the snow.
