Intro log: Welcome to The Resort!

Before you even open your eyes, you can tell something is not right. It's cold. Not quite unbearably so, but cold enough that you can take notice of it. And as soon as you open your eyes, you will be able to see why it's so cold: you're in the middle of a snowy forest, with only a single two-lane road cutting through the thick trees.
Unfortunately, you seem to be without transportation. Fortunately, you are wearing warm clothes and snow gear, so freezing isn't an immediate problem. But without transportation, you're in for a long walk ahead of you.
There are others around as well. Other people, just as lost and confused as you are. Everyone seems to be lacking any memory that might explain why everyone is here. As far as anyone knows, all of you were just ripped out of your previous lives and dumped here on this snowy road, wearing snow gear and having any items that are important to you already on hand. And for some of you, you even have a new power, one that you somehow instantly know how to use...
Two ways to go: forward and back. Despite having no indication of which way is the 'right' way, you feel drawn towards one direction in particular. Going 'back' is possible, but you get the feeling that you will be even more lost if you try. And given that you have no food or water on you, it's best to keep moving forward.
So, are you ready to walk? Because you have a long road ahead of you.
((Welcome to The Resort! Your characters will have any objects or animals with them that they should have given their canon point, but are dressed in cold weather clothing.
This prompt is just the first part of the intro log. New top-levels will go up over the course of the weekend as everyone progresses from 'where the hell am I?' to the resort proper, and to getting settled in. For now, just start with this prompt. We'll link further updates here for easy access.))

They shouldn't know that information.
[Confidential, for one. Two, how did they know he was shirtless??]
By the way, you should be careful about...altercations here.
no subject
[And also nothing about your profile or your nickname makes sense, Mr. SNAAAAAAAKE, but she's going to, uh, stay on topic for the moment. Have a raised eyebrow.]
But do you... mean the regular kind of careful, or a special kind of careful?
[Also she's pretty sure she's not the one who needs to be having this conversation, but whatever.]
no subject
[If you do then go buck fucking wild he guesses.]
no subject
[Why does this place keep getting worse. Why does she need to know this. Just why.]
no subject
[He's just giving you a heads up!!]
no subject
[She wasn't about to go around fighting people anyway, she's not a musclehead unlike some people here. But. Um??]
no subject
no subject
[She's going to need more detailed paraphrasing.]

[She shakes her head.]
I don't plan on fighting anyone, but I feel like that's going to be hard for some of us...
no subject
[Not to say anything about the girl in bright blue.]
no subject
You can say that again. I was with some other people earlier, when we found an oil monster in the jacuzzi, and one of them immediately just tried to light the whole thing on fire! The whole place could have exploded.
[She's obviously still rather grouchy about this?? She's not a very big fan of exploding.]
no subject
[Excuse me?]
no subject
[Yep.]
Oh, and it didn't catch on fire.
no subject
Someone was wearing stealth technology and covered themselves in lubricant.
[Nailed it.]
Wait...you tried to set it on fire?
no subject
Why would anyone even do that? It just makes them visible because of the oil.
[She shakes her head in exasperation.]
I'm not the one who threw fire at it, okay? It just happened because some people here hit first and ask questions later. But the oil was weird, too. It disappeared after a little while.
no subject
[Hm.]
Who threw the fire?
[Which of you teens is out here making Molotovs.]
no subject
[Just in general, it's not how oil works. There's a little exasperated headshake.]
It was Cinque. I don't really get it, but she throws fire with her bare hands? Do you call that magic?
[She wouldn't think twice about it. Normally. Normally Blue Angel is not anywhere near reality. Jeez.]
no subject
[Nanomachines.]
Sounds like it shouldn't be in the hands of someone so impulsive.
no subject
[I mean, that is definitely not what nanomachines do in her world. They already have flamethrowers for that??]
Anyway, I've already yelled at her a bit about it, so hopefully she'll be more careful. We've really got enough to worry about.
[God, she sounds like her brother or her teacher or something. Terrible.]
no subject
[Imagine if the army got their hands on something like that...or terrorists.]
Good. We don't need this place burning down whilst we're still in it.
[...]
After we're out, then maybe.
no subject
[She's 100% civilian minus the hacker underground, she doesn't think of the other things!]
Hmm. Well, we can't just burn the place down. We don't have anyplace else to go.
[Apparently that's her priority and not the arson, all things considered.]
no subject
[He's still got bets on a weird corner of Alaska, though he's doubtful there'll be a similar conveniently placed snowmobile as last time.]
no subject
[That's the ideal, that it's something that simple, but there have been so many supposed irregularities in time-space both with their fellow Guests and just with the here that she's honestly not sure anymore.]
no subject
[Otherwise it's as good as giving up.]
