Just like before, you all get up in the morning...but you know that after today, there will be less of you.

The Lady appears again, leading you all up the stairs to the third floor, just like before. You arrive at the chapel - where a screen near the altar is already playing a video, the sound of the most beautiful instrument in the world washing over you all as you take a seat in the pews.

The Lady puts down some tarp near the altar, as if expecting this to get messy. When she's finished, she sets her gaze on all of you, her beautiful face somehow awful during this moment before someone dies.

"Good morning. Shall we begin this execution?"

[The Lady just.

And then sighs.]

Just give me the vial, Phil Connors.

[Phil frowns slightly as he pulls out a vial. If someone were to look closely, they would notice a rather shoddy looking label on it that says "Medic's Poison" on it.]

Damn, you're psychic. I had a whole pitch prepared for this.

[He hands it to The Lady.]

I don't even know if it will work honestly. It could just be some dishwater.

I'm sparing the rest of the proceedings from an hour's worth of con-manning.

[Phil slinks back into the peanut gallery but not before aggressively winking at Akira and pointing at the bottle.

[. . . but he blinks blearily at Phil, tilts is chin up, and nods. then he turns to the Lady]

I choose the vial.

[justfists]

[something's wrong, and suddenly Makoto's eyes widen.]

You can't do that!

[she whirls to face the Lady-- and. slightly stumbles.]

Fucking ghosts...

You can't change the rules again!

[She just looks at Makoto as she hands the vial over to Akira.]

The Executed have no say in this, Barghest. Be quiet and take your verdict.

[she growls, almost animalistic in tone-- which is fine because that shape of the wolf hovering over her, the claws and fangs forming... She won't stand for it.]

I will have my say in this.

[it's at that point that Makoto backs towards the execution methods, and grabs a knife-- she's going to act fast.]

[Akira's fingers curl around the vial, before he whirls to face the Barghest, a clever line dancing on the tip of his tongue--]

[except then she backs away and grabs a knife and nope nope n o p e]

-- don't you fucking dare!

[and he bolts, darting across the stage with every ounce of that legendary phantom thief speed, and slams into the Barghest to tackle her to the ground, hand immediately shooting out to grab her wrists and pin her knife hand to the floor]

[ The ghost dog was immuned to fire and cold doesn't have an effect. So let's go with thunder.

Cinque will cast a low level thunder spell to aim at Barghest. Pew pew ]

[ How about if Roxas casts a temporary Sleep spell her way? ]

[ Owain is rushing in, moving as fast as he can and he's going to help Akira with pinning down the Makoghest ]

[He immediately leaps from his seat, thinking - Akira got her, but for how long? The Iron Maiden might be the Barghest's next target for quick and fast so he starts to physically lift it off the ground, grunting from the strain as he held it right over his head to keep it away.

The thing hits his head, he stumbles but keeps it up, knees shaking]

Ugh! Quick throw everything in here and I'll toss!

[She’s summoned her D-board in a flash and swept to the front of the room, eyes quickly scanning over what’s happening and whip materializing in her hands. She’s just going to go for the whatever’s closest to the Barghest, slinging it with some care into the Iron Maiden I guess.

Not going to try and deal with the Barghest. Anyone want to join in on grabbing items?]

[ Yeah, Kohaku's jumping down from the spectator seats to toss whatever is grab-able into the Iron Maiden as well before decisively kicking it shut and placing himself in front of it.

No stabbing yourself on this one, Barghest. ]

[I can't believe there's actually a use for this but he pulls out his ARCUS and casts a Chrono Down art aimed for Makoto, trying to slow her down.]

[that was fast-- everything is so fast. But the Barghest is not Makoto. The Barghest does not get pinned down so easily. Makoto's arm moves up, like Akira's and Owain's weight means nothing.

But when she gets hit with the lightning, she screams, her voice going two toned for one, brief moment.

It's the slowed effect from Rean, and the Sleep that really slows her down.

But in the process of that, she's thrown everyone off... The knife still in her hand as she slowly, but surely, catches her breath and moves the knife.]

I... Will... noT... GO... DOWN.

[The music changes to this in the background.]

[Akira throws his weight against the Barghest as much as he can, to keep her pinned when the lightning spell momentarily stuns her. he cries out, voice firm and authoritative]

OWAIN! The knife!

[because he's currently snapping the lid off of the vial, grabbing the Barghest's chin, and attempting to pour the contents into her mouth and down her throat]
