Just like before, you all get up in the morning...but you know that after today, there will be less of you.
The Lady appears again, leading you all up the stairs to the third floor, just like before. You arrive at the chapel - where a screen near the altar is already playing a video, the sound of the most beautiful instrument in the world washing over you all as you take a seat in the pews.
The Lady puts down some tarp near the altar, as if expecting this to get messy. When she's finished, she sets her gaze on all of you, her beautiful face somehow awful during this moment before someone dies.
"Good morning. Shall we begin this execution?"

But the attack never comes.
Instead, with a single SHUNK, the head of the beast falls off - its expression shocked before it hits the ground and dissipates into ghostly wisps. The now headless body wobbles on it's feet, unsteady - and then something pushes it over, the body going the same way as the head.
The music quickly shifts as The Lady closes her eyes, and raises her voice above all of the excitement and noise.]
...Makoto Niijima has returned to being a Peasant. Along with this, The Barghest is dead, and has permanently removed from play.
Congratulations, Guests.
Have a good day.

At least it wasn't Otamatone this time.

... oh thank fuck.
[ This nightmare ride had a happy end, against absolutely all expectations and odds caused by personal fuck-ups. Kohaku is... relieved. Really relieved. ]
I'm getting breakfast, bye.

I can't believe it! I did something right for once in my life!

After a moment, Medic pulls away and scribbles out a note.]
are you still mad about the baboon thing

Ripley is probably dying but it's fine.
When they pull away, Phil gives Medic a Look as he reads the note, still smiling.]
Don't think this will make me forgive you for the baboon thing.

what if I tell you how clever and brave and handsome you are and how well you did today

I don't know, maybe throw a few more compliments my way and then see how I'm feeling.

[He kisses Phil again, this time much softer than before.]
mild nsfw because phil is terrible
[Phil practically melts into the kiss, completely ignoring that they're in public right now.]
he sure is
[Sometimes you just need to turn on the charm a bit and make your bf forget that you replaced his heart with a baboon heart and thats valid
Eventually, of course, Snake comes over to congratulate Phil, and then they kiss, and then Snake fucking carries him off. Medic pouts a little at first- come on, he wanted to kiss Snake first >:/
And then he just looks a little... Uncertain? Of course, none of the living can see that, but Phil might notice that Medic's not beside him anymore. He doesn't know if he should follow them or not.]

[it's quiet, but he mouths a thank you in his direction, his smile sincerely relieved. thank you so much]

... The Barghest really had to be dramatic to the end, didn't it? What just happened?
[She's talking about THE SCION OF LIGHTNING LORD LEGEND, certainly, but also how did its head just fall off. Hm.]

it's super dead now

[She sounds amused, and gives a little wave in the direction of... wherever the ghosts are clustered right now. Who knows where they are, she's just waving at air but.]
So if we weaken and exorcise it, then... Kurosaki-san can kill it? That's good to know.
[I mean she knew more-or-less that Ichigo was supposed to be impressive but boy this has been the best and messiest execution ever.]
no subject
i'm not sure about that part. i think if you execute the others properly it should work?
but...
[ Are they still executing the others? ]

[She has no idea what they're doing with the others. Mostly Cinquelling. The Jorogumo is still a big fat maybe-eight-legged question mark.]
I think we have a lot more to learn about this game, Nanashi.

[That's probably not what she meant either, now that she thinks about it.
Because the game -- such as it is -- seems set inside a much, much bigger thing: not just the Resort, but the Foundation and their memories and how they all deal with each other. Have dealt with each other.]
I guess the letter did say that. About the game not being the important thing.

maybe we can find out more about it!
