The morning seemed so far away yesterday - yet, it also seems too soon when morning comes and you are all yet again ushered to the third floor by The Lady. The Captain is there, in all of his....wait, no, he's asleep.

The doors close, and...nothing happens. There's still the box labeled 'VOTES' in his lap on the couch, but...

On the table is a letter, that reads 'Only one person may be voted for execution this week. Please figure out who that will be during the time limit.'

As you finish reading that, music begins to play in the room...

[ Kohaku's been staring at the clock more and more often in the last half an hour. Now there is 30 minutes left and they're... absolutely nowhere near a consensus. It's frustrating as hell. ]

OKAY, LISTEN UP, PEOPLE.

Since all of you are so great at jumping around the issue when it comes to shit that's hard to say, let me just say it: we need names.

We don't have time to reason out anything much anymore, we only have time to avoid a mess like in the first week. Let's reduce the pool of people to vote for.

Cinque has been accused, Atsushi keeps coming back up, the whole Akira-Makoto-Minato-Atsushi circle also keeps coming back up one way or another. Anyone else?

... I think we should also look at Ripley-san. We know she was outside in the hallway watching for people, and other than Akira-kun I think Iwai-san would be more likely to listen to someone on his level. Especially if they were both trying to stand guard.

[So, she's putting one of the adults out there because that's the best she can do right now.]

I mean, I see your reasoning, but I'd like to think a few other people here seem more likely to do this than me.

I don't think it's about who's more likely to do things anymore, Ripley-san. Did Flat-san seem like someone who would do that to Nanashi?

[She's absolutely aware already of the things people have been pushing at her this trial -- the monster isn't the person anymore, so motivations and evidence might be a wild goose chase -- but at the same time she wants balance.]

If I'm wrong, then I apologize. But this is where my reasoning is right now.

That might not be the case -- I don't know what went on between Ripley-san and anyone she might have seen.

Nothing ties her to this at all. She was just trying to protect other people.

... I'm thinking in terms of who made unusual movements that night. And who was in a position to see where people are and talk to them. I might be wrong, but I'm not going to vote for Cinque.

If it was Akira or Makoto, why would they have those paw prints on them? I don’t think it could have been them.

But they were the only ones who knew about that trap, right? So either we go with the idea that the puppy found the trap by accident... Or, more likely, the Barghest knew about the trap and sent the puppy to spring it.

They weren’t the only ones who knew. I helped them set it up, it was me and Makoto’s idea to start with.

First off, I didn't kill any of those three, so you can stop with the accusations there.

Secondly, the group who knew about the Barghest's identity because of Emiya-san's Seeker role does seem likely for having at least one mafia member in it. We didn't all know each other's identities or roles, but being a mafia member in that small circle certainly helps narrow down who the Seeker might have been. I would say trying to figure out from that group would be our best bet today.

This means you're accusing Minato and Makoto, right?

And Makoto seems cleared by the footprints, as Hunter brought up.

Then who do you think it is, Atsushi?

I don't think it's Kurusu-san. The Barghest seems intent on causing him pain, and wouldn't be doing so if he wasn't of sound mind still.

I don't know, but out of you and Arisato-san, if one of you was a mafia it's pretty much a 33% guess for the identity of the Seeker. Far better odds, and that's assuming Emiya-san didn't outright tell someone.

[He doesn't look bothered being singled out, but he does look contemplative.]

... I can kind of see what you mean, but... I think with how dramatically it was revealed at trial, someone perceptive could have picked up on how differently everyone acted.

[It wasn't hush-hush enough to make this a sure thing.]

Yeah, I agree. After I came out with the news that I knew who the Bargest was, it was easy to tell who I hold told the night before.

It was no secret.

I don't think it was a lucky guess, or it was just "these people happened to get targeted because of their reactions". Maybe the second of that played into it a little, but ... it had to be someone who had role information somehow. It's just too much of a coincidence we lost both of those roles at the same time and I'm not about to just ignore it.

I don't know who did it...but it really had to be someone who got wind of that information.
