TRIAL

The morning seemed so far away yesterday - yet, it also seems too soon when morning comes and you are all yet again ushered to the third floor by The Lady. The Captain is there, in all of his....wait, no, he's asleep.

The doors close, and...nothing happens. There's still the box labeled 'VOTES' in his lap on the couch, but...

On the table is a letter, that reads 'Only one person may be voted for execution this week. Please figure out who that will be during the time limit.'

As you finish reading that, music begins to play in the room...

I can vouch for this. He heard me yelling about the heart and came to complain about it before passing out.

Kept Ripley company a bit before I did.

Passed by in the hallway and said hi. Except most of the conversation was just grunting.

... There could be a reason Owain-kun is involved, but the real question is -- who could get Iwai-san all the way to the gravity room?

The items that were left there....the way the body was left... and the sigil over the door... I don't understand any of it.

I mean, judging from the last trial, does that monster really seem like a subtle, calm entity?

[He rubs his face at that.]

I've seen the headphones before. Iwai-san threw them at -- at the Barghest, last week. I'm not sure where everything else came from.

The slip of paper might have been from a fortune cookie... But what was that about the sigil?

[She's pretty sure this is the first she's hearing of a sigil? There's so much going on here.]

Ah - it should be on Arisato-san's tablet... there was a bloody wolf sigil drawn on the door.

If what Akira-kun said is correct, then they wanted to make sure we knew exactly who killed Iwai-san. [...] Which broke up the Jorogumo's chain of killings and made it easier for us to figure out the Doppelganger, so they might have shot themselves in the foot.

[Or the paw, as it were. She's frowning, still thinking.]

Besides Akira-kun, who was Iwai-san close to?

There was a sigil drawn on the door, in blood. That's where we found the gloves. It was... of a wolf. It was still... [SHAKY BREATH.] ... a little wet when we got there.

That's right - I remember, I wrapped my hands with the Bandana so it wouldn't get on me.

I don't really know him that well, but he seemed like a pretty cautious person, so I can't see him wandering off with just anyone.

It didn't look like there was a struggle or anything in the main part of the Dojo - so I guess he walked into the Anti-gravity room.

[He exhales slowly, rubbing his hand, trying to picture the scene again]

I think the weird part's the fact that he still ended up there though; we know he stayed over with the others in Akira's room, right?

That's what I was thinking. Akira-kun said he was the owner of a model gun shop, and he seemed like he knew how to handle situations like this. He even made a trap outside Snake-san's room without his knowledge. So it couldn't have been easy.

Yeah. We also know he made to to Akira's room, so it's not like Shirou's case where someone got to him before midnight; this was someone he trusted enough to follow even when it was getting late.
