The morning seemed so far away yesterday - yet, it also seems too soon when morning comes and you are all yet again ushered to the third floor by The Lady. The Captain is there, in all of his....wait, no, he's asleep.

The doors close, and...nothing happens. There's still the box labeled 'VOTES' in his lap on the couch, but...

On the table is a letter, that reads 'Only one person may be voted for execution this week. Please figure out who that will be during the time limit.'

As you finish reading that, music begins to play in the room...

Yeah. There are a lot of questions I have about that.

[He just hasn't been sure how to bring them up, really.]

The items that were left there....the way the body was left... and the sigil over the door... I don't understand any of it.

I mean, judging from the last trial, does that monster really seem like a subtle, calm entity?

I've seen the headphones before. Iwai-san threw them at -- at the Barghest, last week. I'm not sure where everything else came from.

The slip of paper might have been from a fortune cookie... But what was that about the sigil?

[She's pretty sure this is the first she's hearing of a sigil? There's so much going on here.]

Ah - it should be on Arisato-san's tablet... there was a bloody wolf sigil drawn on the door.

If what Akira-kun said is correct, then they wanted to make sure we knew exactly who killed Iwai-san. [...] Which broke up the Jorogumo's chain of killings and made it easier for us to figure out the Doppelganger, so they might have shot themselves in the foot.

[Or the paw, as it were. She's frowning, still thinking.]

Besides Akira-kun, who was Iwai-san close to?

I'm not sure there were many people. He seemed like a good guy, but... Pretty standoffish. He wouldn't even look at me the first time I talked to him.

Oh, really? I thought he was just kind of... gruff. But yeah, not a bad guy.

Yeah... Hunter's right. I spoke with him a few times, but he was always a little closed off. He was wary.

[And for good reason.]

He knew this place was bad news.

[Well, he didn't seem like the kind of guy that was easy to get close to, but she hadn't thought too much of it. They are where they are, and the situation isn't exactly the easiest one for getting close to people.]

I think that's the strangest thing to me. That he'd be out that late. Unless he was doing something else, like setting more traps.

There'd be no reason for him to go there, either. It'd be obvious nobody would want to meet there for any reasonable reason.

I spoke to him a few times. He wasn't a bad guy.

[He didn't deserve to go out like that, or at all.]

Willing to bet he kept an eye on on Akira's friends too.

Snake-san, do you think that he might have left the room because he was trying to do what he did with you? Keep an eye on people, or something?

That's right - I remember, I wrapped my hands with the Bandana so it wouldn't get on me.

... And what else was there--the headphones, the fortune from the fortune cookie, a bottle of booze, a sword hilt...and a potion bottle?

Were they all Iwai-san's? Did he have all of them on him at the time?
