WEEK 3 - INVESTIGATION

The wakeup is familiar - yet not any less nerve-wracking. Though you have survived the night, the knowledge that the Mafia - the monsters - have killed is ringing loudly in your mind.
The hotel speakers crackle to life just like before, drawing your attention and startling you. Heart racing, you listen to the announcement...
...And there seems to be ominous music in the halls...
GORE WARNING FOR THIS LOG.

BODY ANNOUNCEMENT
All bodies have been found.
Shirou Emiya is dead. He was The Seeker, a town role that could find out the role of any one person once per week.
Himeko Inaba is dead. She was The Inquisitor, a town role that could find who a player had talked to privately and send an anonymous message to the group.
Munehisa Iwai is dead. He was a Peasant, the normal town role with no special abilities.
Tomorrow, there will be a Trial for these murders. During it, you will be tasked with finding out among yourselves is the most guilty - and who to execute.
Have a good day, Guests.
[The speakers go dead.]

[she sounds panicked, and before anything else-- she waves the UV light over him, revealing what she feared.
Puppy prints are all over him.]
Oh no, oh no, no, no....
[and his plan didn't work. So... what was this even for?]

[he forces himself to stand up straight to face her, just as she waves the UV light over his body to reveal the paw prints and as soon as he sees them. . .]

[Just... internal screaming at how many important roles were lost. But there's one thing that stands out to her.]
But... if Owain-kun isn't dead... then why was his sword in the pool?
[Tsumugi is idling in the lobby, awkwardly holding onto the Levian Sword. She's mostly looking around to see if Owain shows up, but is open to being approached.
She has some questions and no answers right now.]

...That's his?

[A glance back down at the sword.]
I'm... not sure why it was in the pool.
[She has suspicions, but none she likes.]

It's something to think about, but...I think we should be careful. There's still a lot we're in the dark about; I just hope we figure out why it was there tomorrow.

He'd just emerged from his room to just hear all of this, and that sure isn't a great feeling right now, with all of those names suddenly being announced. But also what follows them doesn't help in the slightest.
...So many people died and already that's much more than last week. ]

Ripley closes her eyes as the announcements settle in her mind. A massacre. And all she did last night was sleep. The fact that she hasn't been able to do anything to stop it--
A sob wells up in her throat, which she quickly chokes and silences. She covers her face with her hands for a moment, trying to collect herself. After a few moments, she wipes her face, her expression hardening.
Needs to keep moving. Keep your goal in mind.]

Shirou's death surprises him, but as soon as he hears Shirou's role it suddenly makes sense. Of course the mafia would want to take him out, if he can track them down like that. They must have found out about him or something.
But then he hears Inaba's name, and he barely processes the rest of the message, because he sure can hear a roar in his ears. He can't even call it rage or grief, because it's not really hitting him yet.
Still, he's at a standstill now. Because it's hard to move when it feels like your heart just stopped.]

[There's... nothing she can say to make this better. Tsumugi shoots him a look of sympathy regardless.]

[He just. Doesn't understand.]

[It's a quiet gasp that he has to force out of his lungs as he stands stock still in the middle of the hallway. It takes a moment for him to move again as he tenses up and clenches his fists, gaze falling towards the floor.]

She doesn't remember, but she really hopes they've eaten their words.
Blue Angel freezes where she stands when that announcement comes on -- then stumbles to the nearest wall and leans on it before she can outright sink to her knees. This... This is a blow. Not only have they lost two roles (who was it that said the game isn't important like it had nothing to do with them?), they've lost three people on the same night that they could have probably done more to protect. People she was just talking to, greeting in the halls, studying with. Just one night ago.
It's too heavy, this weight of trying to protect and suspect people at the same time. She doesn't want either.
After a long moment of hugging herself, she swipes a hand across her eyes and makes for the lobby.]
