The wakeup is familiar - yet not any less nerve-wracking. Though you have survived the night, the knowledge that the Mafia - the monsters - have killed is ringing loudly in your mind.

The hotel speakers crackle to life just like before, drawing your attention and startling you. Heart racing, you listen to the announcement...

...And there seems to be ominous music in the halls...

[Just... internal screaming at how many important roles were lost. But there's one thing that stands out to her.]

But... if Owain-kun isn't dead... then why was his sword in the pool?

[Tsumugi is idling in the lobby, awkwardly holding onto the Levian Sword. She's mostly looking around to see if Owain shows up, but is open to being approached.

She has some questions and no answers right now.]

[ Huh, that's...interesting. ]

[A glance back down at the sword.]

I'm... not sure why it was in the pool.

[She has suspicions, but none she likes.]

[ Roxas looks thoughtful, at the sword too. ]

It's something to think about, but...I think we should be careful. There's still a lot we're in the dark about; I just hope we figure out why it was there tomorrow.

[A nod and glance back at the sword. She wonders...]

Umm... did you see any of the bodies, Roxas-kun?

[ He hates asking this question, but he grimaces... ]

Did you see any of them?

[A shake of her head.]

I’m just wondering if there’s any sword wounds on them or if this is a trick, you know?

[It’s a good frame up if it’s the latter option.]

Yeah, a trick that we wouldn't be able to really see through as easily. It's hard not to have a bad feeling about everything that happened today...but I can't but feel that there's something more to what we're seeing here.

[ And on top of everything else to be bothered about, this is probably definitely something bothersome-worthy. ]

[It's unclear if she's referring to the bad feeling or there being something they aren't seeing.]

[ He's kind of... there? Hanging around, when he hears them talking about the bodies. There's a bit of a pause before he walks over... ]

[ Vanitas' gaze rests on the floor for a moment as he glances away. ]

Shirou was stabbed pretty badly.

Well... this is confirmed as a murder weapon now.

[At least she can feel right in holding onto it now.]

[One part of her is happy he's alive and another larger part of her is suspicious.]

[ walking up to her and taking a look at the sword ] May I?

[Moving the sword away from him.]

I'm sorry, but you can have it back after the trial. It might be a murder weapon, so it might still be needed for wound comparison.

Will you allow me to examine it? You can still hold it, but I wish to look it over.

[.... It makes sense for him to want to examine his property. There's a big pause, but she eventually sighs. She's going to regret this, but she's going to attempt to give him some modicum of trust.]

.... Okay. But i'm going to plainly keep an eye on you.

[Her hair wiggles and lengthens. Just in case any funny business happens.]

I want to know if you see anything out of the ordinary about it too, alright?

[ he bends forward, looking at every inch of the sword while tsumugi is holding it. he's looking for anything that might stand out, any dents in the metal, any new nicks in the blade, anything that might seem out of place ]

[It doesn't seem odd at all - beyond a little damage from having to go through bone, It's perfectly fine.]

[ a brief sigh and then owain pulls back, looking tsumugi in the eye ]

Well... it’s certainly not good to own a murder weapon and not know how it got out of your sight, you know?

[A sigh. She appreciates the information being shared, and it certainly lifts a tiny bit of suspicion off Owain in her eyes.]
