WEEK 3

Week three opens like the other two weeks, but when you wake up, you know there's been a change in the area. At first, nothing is wrong - but when you look at any window, you aren't greeted with the cheery sight of the outside - instead, there's just a cold, harsh blackness. Trying to leave out the doors is impossible, too - if you try, you just find yourself back on the couches in the lobby. On top of that....The Staff are beginning to act even stranger, their glitching out becoming more obvious. Sometimes, they seemingly go blank mid sentence and walk away, as if they were reset, and slur or stutter their words.

The weather is...well, non-existent, except for the courtyard, which is still pleasantly snowy. There is still music playing in the halls, and the cover songs continue with some low-key music for the week.

On Monday morning, another memory is returned to everyone. Another piece to the puzzle, one step closer to finding the truth of this place. Yet, it doesn't seem like you're any closer to solving this...

And time still ticks onwards, regardless if you're ready or not.

[ He's wearing gloves, but he should be able to feel them just fine.

Puppy hasn't learned 'paw' yet, so Snake has to hold up its little forelegs all by himself. Take a look at those tiny pawbeans, just ready for squishing.]

[ He'll smile a little, looking at the puppy again and he's tempted, really he is, but...after awhile he'll just shake his head. ]

It sounds nice. It really does, but now that I think about it...maybe something like this should be left until later. If we get out of this okay, I'd try it then.

[Snake looks at Roxas for a moment, silent, then nods.]

Something to look forward to, huh?

[He takes the puppy in his arms instead, holding it like a baby.]

I'll make sure we do.

Yeah. [ ... ] Thanks, I'll remember that.

[ He looks kind of curious, though... ]

...Have you ever owned a dog before? As far as you can remember, anyway?

[ Because even if they're copies or whatever, Roxas has decided that it doesn't make the memories they had before the Foundation fake. ]

Yeah...I have.

[If the way he was handling the puppy didn't make it obvious enough.]

Had fifty of them, all huskies.

[ Yeah...though he wasn't expecting an answer like that, though.

Roxas doesn't think he'd be able to handle so many dogs... ]

...Fifty?! How'd you even manage all of them?

[Snake cracks a grin.]

It wasn't easy. Got pretty chaotic at dinnertime.

[One man vs. fifty hungry dogs was a wild standoff even for Snake's standards.]

I could manage it, though. I trained them well. Besides...it's not bad, when it's family.

Well, fifty dogs does sound like a nice family to have when it's like that...

[ Roxas hasn't quite seen a husky yet, but he can imagine fifty random dogs crowding Snake around the table - it's kind of a funny image, actually. ]

[His bar might be pretty low.]

They can rely on me, and I can rely on them. Never been a race where they've let me down.
