WEEK 3

Week three opens like the other two weeks, but when you wake up, you know there's been a change in the area. At first, nothing is wrong - but when you look at any window, you aren't greeted with the cheery sight of the outside - instead, there's just a cold, harsh blackness. Trying to leave out the doors is impossible, too - if you try, you just find yourself back on the couches in the lobby. On top of that....The Staff are beginning to act even stranger, their glitching out becoming more obvious. Sometimes, they seemingly go blank mid sentence and walk away, as if they were reset, and slur or stutter their words.

The weather is...well, non-existent, except for the courtyard, which is still pleasantly snowy. There is still music playing in the halls, and the cover songs continue with some low-key music for the week.

On Monday morning, another memory is returned to everyone. Another piece to the puzzle, one step closer to finding the truth of this place. Yet, it doesn't seem like you're any closer to solving this...

And time still ticks onwards, regardless if you're ready or not.

[There's a little motion, because, well, ow - but he does seem to take it in stride.]

I'm not important, not on a night like this. I'm just - removed from the game, and I can't help any of you. Something that happened in the past...really isn't worth talking about.

[ And now she's going back to actually hug him more properly, even if she's going to squeeze him in a little tighter, in a way that silently says she won't let go. ] You say you can't help but you're doing more than enough, Ichigo. You. . . listened to me. To all the shit I talked to you about. If you say that you're not important, then I might actually cry again, you moron. Don't say that something happened in the past doesn't matter! Don't say that it's not worth talking about! If you say something like that, then did anything we talk about not matter, too?! Did saying "that you'd always be there for me" also not matter, because that was something you said in the past? If you don't care about yourself, then... please, [ her voice comes out a little choked, a little pained; she doesn't care if the others can hear her ] Let me at least care about you, Ichigo. You're important to me.

[There's a silence - yet, somehow, it feels like a stunned one.

And then -

tears fall to the floor, little saline droplets out of thin air, before she's wrapped up in another hug.

From the way it feels, it's like he's saying something...but she can't hear it. Even so, even so...

[ The fact that she can't hear his voice seems to tear her apart on the inside, and for good reasons. If she could actually see him, know exactly what he's saying, she'd be able to reply to him properly.

But she does notice the tears, and her arms are around the small of his back as she runs a hand up and down his back, in a way that's trying her best to reassure him. ]

It's okay. It's okay, Ichigo. I just don't want you to hold yourself back on our account. Because. . . we're your friends, right? It doesn't matter if you're alive, or dead. When you suffer, we do, too. So please don't pretend that you're okay when you're obviously not.
