WEEK 3 MINGLE

Week three opens like the other two weeks, but when you wake up, you know there's been a change in the area. At first, nothing is wrong - but when you look at any window, you aren't greeted with the cheery sight of the outside - instead, there's just a cold, harsh blackness. Trying to leave out the doors is impossible, too - if you try, you just find yourself back on the couches in the lobby. On top of that....The Staff are beginning to act even stranger, their glitching out becoming more obvious. Sometimes, they seemingly go blank mid sentence and walk away, as if they were reset, and slur or stutter their words.
The weather is...well, non-existent, except for the courtyard, which is still pleasantly snowy. There is still music playing in the halls, and the cover songs continue with some low-key music for the week.
On Monday morning, another memory is returned to everyone. Another piece to the puzzle, one step closer to finding the truth of this place. Yet, it doesn't seem like you're any closer to solving this...
And time still ticks onwards, regardless if you're ready or not.
MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY

[ Roxas, please.
Anyway, he's ready to start and honestly he hasn't driven before in his life, so he's going to probably not do so well during his first race realistically speaking. But after that, the competition between them is definitely going to pick up on account of him being a quick learner... ]

[Tsumugi probably wins the first race then. But he'll probably be able to beat her after another game or three, depending on how fast he learns. She's only at the skill level of an early-game boss after all...]
You're a quick learner Roxas-kun... maybe you're the protagonist in your canon?
[Just a casual poke at their fictional status that was revealed earlier this week.]

[ Even when the situation is hopeless... a good victory out of nowhere is great! A perfect pick-me-up for being in their shitty situation and a good source of actual entertainment for real. ]
...That's a nice thought. But, that belongs to someone else instead for now.
[ Jeez, he is totally not bitter again about being absorbed into Sora after realizing what it was like to walk around as his own person once more, even if the situation's shitty, and not be forced to accept a state of non-existence. No, not bitter at all. ]

[Their hair and eyes are a similar color come to think of it. There's a slight pause at his next statement though.]
I see... that's unfortunate. I think you'd make a good protagonist, Roxas-kun.
[A smile.]
You have the right hair for it.
[A small giggle at her joke and managing to eek out a win on the latest round.]

[ Roxas doesn't think he's ever quite heard the word before in his entire life ( as little as he lived it so far. )
But, hey, there's a lot he hasn't heard of before he came here. ]
I really do? [ Pause...when she manages to snag a win right there. Gosh! ] Wha- hey! Don't think I'm going to let you win again, got it?

[There's clear passion in Tsumugi's voice as she talks about cosplay. You've found her favorite subject.]
You do! Not one of those dark horse winning ones, but one of the ones who lose a lot at first, but then work their way up to a win! Like Sendou Aichi!
[A laugh.]
I'm plain impressed at how fast you're catching on... but we'll see about that, Roxas-kun!

[ It's apparent to him that she's really loved this type of thing, and it doesn't sound like a bad hobby in general anyway. ]
Sendou Aichi? [ Yeah, now that he thinks about it... ] But the ones who keep losing a lot - they don't really give up, do they?
[ Then he'll shake his head with a determined smile, pulling a sharp turn in the game and managing to make it. ]
We'll see about that? You're about to see my dust pretty soon!

[Her excitement starts to distract her from the game...]
No, they just keep going! I'm not sure card game anime are your kind of story... but he looses a lot in the beginning, before getting better and starting to win as the story goes on. He's not a dark horse winner, he's a hard work winner!
[At least for the most part. Tsumugi is about to go on a plot dump, but her distraction makes it easier for Roxas to pass her in the game, via the sharp turn.]
A-ah!?
[She does her best to catch up, but unless Roxas makes a major mistake, Tsumugi is probably going to lose this round.]
no subject
[ Eyes on the prize, Tsumugi! That's okay, Roxas isn't afraid to take advantage of that opportunity. ]
A hard work winner...? [ ...He breaks out into a grin. ] Yeah, maybe I'm something like that. Both kinds really sound like the best, especially since I just came from behind when you least expected!
[ Roxas puts the pedal to the medal, making it difficult for her to catch up. ]
no subject
[Tsumugi does her best to catch up, but Roxas wins in the end. There's a laugh at his victory. A part of her feels happy at seeing him succeed so fast, after she showed him.]
Ah geez... I didn't expect you to learn so fast.
no subject
[ Roxas pumps a hand in the air once his victory is secured! Aw yeah... ]
Well, I had someone show me how this worked, so that's probably what helped me pick up faster than if someone started out without help?

[No regrets to be honest.]
That makes sense. It means I was a good tutorial then, right?
