WEEK 3 MINGLE

Week three opens like the other two weeks, but when you wake up, you know there's been a change in the area. At first, nothing is wrong - but when you look at any window, you aren't greeted with the cheery sight of the outside - instead, there's just a cold, harsh blackness. Trying to leave out the doors is impossible, too - if you try, you just find yourself back on the couches in the lobby. On top of that....The Staff are beginning to act even stranger, their glitching out becoming more obvious. Sometimes, they seemingly go blank mid sentence and walk away, as if they were reset, and slur or stutter their words.
The weather is...well, non-existent, except for the courtyard, which is still pleasantly snowy. There is still music playing in the halls, and the cover songs continue with some low-key music for the week.
On Monday morning, another memory is returned to everyone. Another piece to the puzzle, one step closer to finding the truth of this place. Yet, it doesn't seem like you're any closer to solving this...
And time still ticks onwards, regardless if you're ready or not.
MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY

[Not really a guy you want to be meeting down a dark vent, that’s for sure.]
What kind of last boss is this...
[That’s muttered to herself.]
no subject
Definitely final boss material, that's for sure.

I think the problem is, we don't even know what kind of boss he is.
[He was Ichigo's boss, but all they know is that he was a shitty boss. What the hell is his clear condition. Are they even supposed to fight him. Fushigi mystery.]

[Minato's quiet for a long moment, thinking.]
I think... he was the sort of boss who had good intentions, but lost sight of them along the way. Who...was a good leader, but took on too much. The weight on his shoulders was too much, and he started to become more controlling.
Sometimes, our original intentions can be good, but circumstances can turn them a little bad... you know?
... I guess in that case, it makes him a bit of a sad final boss.

[She's speechless for a moment.]
You know, I can't decide if you're too forgiving, or just too optimistic, or -- or, I don't know.
[There's something weary in there somewhere, but she shakes her head and plows on.]
I think in the end, the only thing we can know for sure is that we need to find out more. I don't think we'll be able to deal with this Resort without dealing with him.
[And she kind of told Ichigo they'd deal with him. It is what she believes though; kind of like they might have to deal with Kurotsuchi eventually.]

That gets a rueful smile out of him.]
Sorry. I guess I was just...rambling. It might not really be that way. It was just...a thought.
Either way, you're right. He's going to be important here.

Well, I don't mean that it's a bad thing, necessarily. This place is just...
[Really easy to get lost in, or to sink into a darker version of yourself, or to watch everyone else sink and kind of get startled when you see a fragment of something else. She's always a bit too blunt, especially in this form.
She sighs a little.]
If he's responsible for even a little of all this, I'd really like to give him a piece of my mind.
no subject
I think I'd really like to see that, honestly.
When we finally manage to get to him, I'll be looking forward to seeing him have to endure that.
no subject
I get the feeling there's going to be a long line to get to him, but... At least I can fly.
[Enjoy that image of her divebombing this poor sap, even if it will mostly likely not go like that.]
Maybe we can rely on you to talk him around, once we're done serving him humble pie.
no subject
That's right... you can skip the line.
[A beat, though, and he looks a little surprised at that statement.
Ah....]
... You have a lot of faith in my ability to convince people of things. [But... he looks kind of touched, too. It'd be nice to think this could all be resolved with talking, wouldn't it?]

[And is a terrible person, she doesn't say, because although they are all pretty much in agreement that they're going to kick the guy's ass for the Ichigo thing and maybe also for the Owain thing and honestly the list is growing and is going to stretch out of the resort at some point...]
I'm sure there are enough of us to open his ears. And I think you probably really believe what you're saying. [she seems pretty certain of this, though] That's the most important thing.
no subject
[Softly:]
I do believe it. And...sometimes, it's true that a little bit of belief is all someone needs.
That might be too optimistic, but... I suppose it can't hurt us to be optimistic every now and then.
