WEEK 3

Week three opens like the other two weeks, but when you wake up, you know there's been a change in the area. At first, nothing is wrong - but when you look at any window, you aren't greeted with the cheery sight of the outside - instead, there's just a cold, harsh blackness. Trying to leave out the doors is impossible, too - if you try, you just find yourself back on the couches in the lobby. On top of that....The Staff are beginning to act even stranger, their glitching out becoming more obvious. Sometimes, they seemingly go blank mid sentence and walk away, as if they were reset, and slur or stutter their words.

The weather is...well, non-existent, except for the courtyard, which is still pleasantly snowy. There is still music playing in the halls, and the cover songs continue with some low-key music for the week.

On Monday morning, another memory is returned to everyone. Another piece to the puzzle, one step closer to finding the truth of this place. Yet, it doesn't seem like you're any closer to solving this...

And time still ticks onwards, regardless if you're ready or not.

[Medic still doesn't get what's happening here but sharing his own issues helped Phil before so. It's turning into oversharing and genuine pouring-their-hearts-out hour now]

There really isn't anything you're doing wrong, Medic. I'm happy with you, and the fact that you love me despite everything I've done is more than enough.

Medic's not usually flustered by much, but he's also not used to someone being so open with him. His only long term relationships back home are a man who prefers to act instead of speak, and a man who never takes off his mask, let alone hints at his name.

He doesn't reply for a bit, too overwhelmed to actually think of anything to say. Finally:]

[Phil groans before lying back down on his bed.]

No, just the way you act. You say these little things that surprise me and it's been so long since I've found myself with someone who was like that.

[Medic has been called a lot of things in his lifetime. Most of them very insulting, several of them alongside physical violence.

He can't remember ever once being called adorable before. If Phil pays close enough attention, he can hear Medic make an odd strangled noise of surprise before burying his face in Phil's side.

The more this goes on, the more confused Medic gets. This is the most open anyone has been with him before, and this is after, what, three weeks together?

When he finally gets enough presence of mind to write again, it's, well.]

[He's just going to curl up against Medic now.]

[Medic looks up at Phil. He considers this. He thinks about telling Phil he's wrong, and that he's made a mistake, and that Phil has no idea what kind of disaster he's fallen in love with- if he can even call it love at this point.

Not for any self-loathing reasons, really. Just common sense and a lot of failed relationships with people who couldn't handle his particularly brand of... Medic-ness, have taught him a few things.

Instead, Medic plants light kisses at Phil's side, where the bandages were earlier in the week.]

[Phil can't help but laugh lightly.]

You did such a good job healing me, you know that? One of these days I need to repay you for that.

i'd be disappointed in myself if i wasn't at least alright at the task

[He hums a little.]
