WEEK 3

Week three opens like the other two weeks, but when you wake up, you know there's been a change in the area. At first, nothing is wrong - but when you look at any window, you aren't greeted with the cheery sight of the outside - instead, there's just a cold, harsh blackness. Trying to leave out the doors is impossible, too - if you try, you just find yourself back on the couches in the lobby. On top of that....The Staff are beginning to act even stranger, their glitching out becoming more obvious. Sometimes, they seemingly go blank mid sentence and walk away, as if they were reset, and slur or stutter their words.

The weather is...well, non-existent, except for the courtyard, which is still pleasantly snowy. There is still music playing in the halls, and the cover songs continue with some low-key music for the week.

On Monday morning, another memory is returned to everyone. Another piece to the puzzle, one step closer to finding the truth of this place. Yet, it doesn't seem like you're any closer to solving this...

And time still ticks onwards, regardless if you're ready or not.

[The bunny ears, etc nod and then wave! Oh, looks like he's even got red gloves. They look a lot like Akira's from that run in with the wolf.

He then bounces out of his seat and runs up to Anthy, stopping just short with arms outstretched in what is clearly a "HUG ME" gesture.]

[ Oh.

She's... not generally much of a fan of physical contact, and has very little experience initiating it, so for a few moments she just blinks without making a move.

But... it's Nanase-kun, and it seems like he wants it, so. She'll do it. Just... stiffly. ]

Ah... Is this all right?

[ Honestly, the invisibility part kind of makes it easier. ]

[Huuuuuuuuug! And a nod into her shoulder. Very nice!]

[ And Chu-Chu jumps onto his shoulder to get in on this reunion hug!! ]

Well... I'm glad we can still interact with you like this. Chu-Chu really took it hard.

[Aww. Reaching up with one hand to pat Chu-Chu on the head!

And then his head draws back a bit in surprise to hear about Chu-Chu taking it badly.]

[He stays still like that for a bit longer before pulling away properly, gloved hands raising around some sort of... invisible tablet?]

[ There's a brief pause as Yoshi reaches over to the kitten too, but it seems to go on guard, and he quickly draws his hand back again. Ahaha... same luck as always. ]

[ She blinks at that, looking from the tablet to the kitten and then back up at the shutter shades that she still doesn't understand. ]

How?

[ Granted, probably none of them knew before then how vicious and strong the Barghest actually was -- they hadn't even known its name then -- but still. In general, attempting to catch a monster on one's own seems ill-advised, even for someone older and stronger. ]

it makes a sound at a frequency that knocks people out

...buuuuut it's tuned for humans so it was actually a really bad idea
