WEEK 3

Week three opens like the other two weeks, but when you wake up, you know there's been a change in the area. At first, nothing is wrong - but when you look at any window, you aren't greeted with the cheery sight of the outside - instead, there's just a cold, harsh blackness. Trying to leave out the doors is impossible, too - if you try, you just find yourself back on the couches in the lobby. On top of that....The Staff are beginning to act even stranger, their glitching out becoming more obvious. Sometimes, they seemingly go blank mid sentence and walk away, as if they were reset, and slur or stutter their words.

The weather is...well, non-existent, except for the courtyard, which is still pleasantly snowy. There is still music playing in the halls, and the cover songs continue with some low-key music for the week.

On Monday morning, another memory is returned to everyone. Another piece to the puzzle, one step closer to finding the truth of this place. Yet, it doesn't seem like you're any closer to solving this...

And time still ticks onwards, regardless if you're ready or not.

Hmm, how bad was it?

[Considering what she’s seen of Ichigo’s personality and the fact that he’s apparently an unnecessarily buff strawberry... she’s gonna say pretty bad.]

He tried to sacrifice himself pretty much every single trial. Lenka was just as bad.

[And Shirou, but let's not mention that.]

So, like the first time we had a trial, but... all the time?

[She's grimacing!! Once was already maddening enough, she doesn't know what would happen if they all had to deal with that every time. Why.]

How did you guys even escape...

We worked together and believed in each other.

[The power of friendship!!]

How many people died?

[Sorry, while power of friendship sounds nice, she's a bit too pragmatic to rely solely on that right now. And while she's absolutely going to remember that there's a method to the madness -- some way back to life or home or anything, she's going to get the lay of the land first.]

Twenty-one.

How many of you were there?

[She does look a little apologetic for bringing it up. But she needs to know what they're going to be dealing with. She's the type who braces herself for the long haul.]

Twenty-eight.

[She's quiet for a long moment, because, yeah. That's something. There's the briefest tremble in her fingers, which have curled into a fist at her side, but she doesn't otherwise react. For a girl who's usually expressive, she weathers this storm in silence.]

... You and Kurosaki-kun made it through that?

[diesifkilled]

[Through all this, Shirou is completely calm. The hopeful air he'd had earlier isn't there, but nothing has really come in to replace it.]

...We died, if that's what you're asking. But we came back.

No, that's not what I was asking.

[Her expression is dark, but there's no despair in it. She's not allowed to give up.]

You went through all of that, but you still came back for more. [she kind of wants to ask if they're masochists, actually, but she refrains for this one] Was it worth it?

We helped save people, and we have the chance to save more yet. I... I know that putting ourselves through this stuff isn't exactly the sanest or smartest choice, but it's what we want to do.

I'm starting to see why we have so many people who volunteered this round, too.

[There's just a long sigh here. Maybe the Foundation is just sadistic enough to keep finding these people. Maybe it's just their luck. Who even knows.]

It really isn't sane or smart at all. [she kind of wants to smack all of you, including people from last round she doesn't know] But I guess as long as we're stuck here together... it's good to have you guys. If you have to be here.
