WEEK 3

Week three opens like the other two weeks, but when you wake up, you know there's been a change in the area. At first, nothing is wrong - but when you look at any window, you aren't greeted with the cheery sight of the outside - instead, there's just a cold, harsh blackness. Trying to leave out the doors is impossible, too - if you try, you just find yourself back on the couches in the lobby. On top of that....The Staff are beginning to act even stranger, their glitching out becoming more obvious. Sometimes, they seemingly go blank mid sentence and walk away, as if they were reset, and slur or stutter their words.

The weather is...well, non-existent, except for the courtyard, which is still pleasantly snowy. There is still music playing in the halls, and the cover songs continue with some low-key music for the week.

On Monday morning, another memory is returned to everyone. Another piece to the puzzle, one step closer to finding the truth of this place. Yet, it doesn't seem like you're any closer to solving this...

And time still ticks onwards, regardless if you're ready or not.

Well... it kind of does blow her cover and all. If we really were spying on an important figure, it wouldn't be any surprise if they had their own security team in the wings.

Well, we're here now, so that means we probably got out unscathed. And if we didn't... then at least I haven't been feeling the effects of getting into a huge brawl this whole time we've been here.

Neither have I, sooooo I think you're probably right about us getting out of it in one piece.

I wonder how she explained that one away?

[She's not sure either, the doubt clear in her voice.]

Maybe we just... plain fled?

Yeah... although, I've been kind of wondering: why are getting these memories back to begin with? Is the effect of what they did to us just starting to wear off?

That's the question of the hour, isn't it?

I don't know if it'd be high priority to investigate that right now, but it's something to keep in mind for the future. I'm not really familiar with the idea of altering memories myself, but... maybe others around here would know more.

If anyone does know more, I'm sure they would've spoken up by now.

Fair enough. I guess we might just need to hit up the library, although I'm not exactly expecting any convenient answers to anything anytime soon.

No, not really. I'd call myself a casual reader at best if we're not counting schoolbooks. What about you?
