WEEK 3 MINGLE

Week three opens like the other two weeks, but when you wake up, you know there's been a change in the area. At first, nothing is wrong - but when you look at any window, you aren't greeted with the cheery sight of the outside - instead, there's just a cold, harsh blackness. Trying to leave out the doors is impossible, too - if you try, you just find yourself back on the couches in the lobby. On top of that....The Staff are beginning to act even stranger, their glitching out becoming more obvious. Sometimes, they seemingly go blank mid sentence and walk away, as if they were reset, and slur or stutter their words.
The weather is...well, non-existent, except for the courtyard, which is still pleasantly snowy. There is still music playing in the halls, and the cover songs continue with some low-key music for the week.
On Monday morning, another memory is returned to everyone. Another piece to the puzzle, one step closer to finding the truth of this place. Yet, it doesn't seem like you're any closer to solving this...
And time still ticks onwards, regardless if you're ready or not.
MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY

It doesn't mean it should have to be that way.
[ He doesn't want to agree with it, because it really shouldn't. Though most of his life has indicated that Vanitas would be right. ]
Even if I get used to it, I'm not sure if it'll hurt any less. [ ... ] But, maybe I should try - at least it'd be less surprising when something bad happened if I did.

Considering this entire place is likely gonna be just one bad thing after another...?
[ Vanitas is sighing, his expression giving a bit of a hint regarding how tired he is today. ]
... Yeah.
no subject
You don't mince words, do you?
[ Roxas doesn't smile, but his words aren't meant to be as a barb either. Sometimes it's good for people to say those things. ]
...But, it's true. Ichigo said it was going to get worse, so I guess I should be really prepared for that - we all should.
no subject
Why should I?
[ He glances away, holding a blink for the length of time it takes him to release a quiet breath. ]
Exactly. If you just sit here, hoping for or expecting only the best, you'll just wind up disappointed, at this rate.
no subject
...I don't think I'm really going to be just sitting around only hoping for the best, but I think it's only natural not to want bad things to happen all the time.
[ His hand moves to rest lightly a little lower on the side of his shoulder then. ]
And just as natural to want to think that maybe we can somehow achieve the best outcome, even in the face of all of this.
no subject
Natural for someone like you, maybe.
[ For someone who's actually ever had something good in their life. ]
no subject
Not that he's ungrateful for the information...because Roxas thinks knowing is better than being ignorant. ]
...Yeah, it is. But even if it's not natural or is for some people, we've all been through a lot. We could all use some sort of ... something that's not despair right now, right? Even if it's just words.
no subject
I wouldn't know what that kind of luxury feels likes.
no subject
...I'm not really sure if it's really a luxury at the moment. It's not something that's going to be easy for people to really think about right now, even if their situation isn't like yours.
[ However, Roxas is also sure that Vanitas is drawing on his personal experiences, so... ]
And even if it's something you're not used to, I think it's something that could help. Too much despair isn't good for anyone, no matter who they are.
no subject
"Too much"... Said to the one that's all the darkness that was inside another person? I'm not even a person, you idiot.
no subject
...Do I even have to spell it out why I don't agree with that? Nevermind, you probably would say the same even now, but...
[ He sighs, closing his eyes. ]
...You'll always be a person to me.
no subject
... It won't change the facts, you idiot.
no subject
...Is it really a fact? Things are not really what we thought they were in the first place.
[ Not just with their situation, but as to who they are - what they could become. ]
no subject
Because, at the very least, he's no longer arguing over it. ]
