WEEK 3

Week three opens like the other two weeks, but when you wake up, you know there's been a change in the area. At first, nothing is wrong - but when you look at any window, you aren't greeted with the cheery sight of the outside - instead, there's just a cold, harsh blackness. Trying to leave out the doors is impossible, too - if you try, you just find yourself back on the couches in the lobby. On top of that....The Staff are beginning to act even stranger, their glitching out becoming more obvious. Sometimes, they seemingly go blank mid sentence and walk away, as if they were reset, and slur or stutter their words.

The weather is...well, non-existent, except for the courtyard, which is still pleasantly snowy. There is still music playing in the halls, and the cover songs continue with some low-key music for the week.

On Monday morning, another memory is returned to everyone. Another piece to the puzzle, one step closer to finding the truth of this place. Yet, it doesn't seem like you're any closer to solving this...

And time still ticks onwards, regardless if you're ready or not.

I was taken to this really patriotic room, that had this bird who kept accusing me of being communist. I threw meat at it but it started attacking me the moment I started thinking about how weird it all was.

[geckodad]

[Iwai laughs. That sounds rich]

You must have pissed off someone when they put you in your new body.

[That's Iwai's thought when he hears the Foundation is giving someone a less than preferential treatment]

[Phil grumbles to himself.]

I really wished they tortured me in ways that didn't sound completely ridiculous when I talk about it.

[Iwai sobers up]

Wish granted. You're being tortured here.

[To anyone here your current torture sure won't sound ridiculous]

[In the driest voice possible:]

Thanks. I feel so much better now.

[She just kind of stares for a moment.]

Um, the bird could read your mind...? Why would it accuse you of being communist if it could read your mind?

[Everything about this is baffling.]

I guess I was thinking about how weird it was that this bird was yelling about patriotic slogans. I wasn't doing anything wrong.

It does sound like a pretty weird bird. But from what Kurosaki-san said, they like throwing us D-Class Agents at SCPs and seeing what makes them tick.

Maybe they just wanted to see what you and the bird would do to each other?

I guess that might be the case.

[Phil shakes his head. He guesses he buys that but there's another thing that's sticking to him.]

That still doesn't explain the whole cake situation.

Huh? The cake?

[imstuck]

Right, guess I didn't tell everyone about that.

Before the part with the bird. They forced me to eat cake. Every. God damn. Day. I was forced to either eat cake or be shot by the guards.

[latebluemer]

Huh?!

[This is extremely out of left field and now she's just staring. RIP.]

At this point I'm just convinced they want to torture me for kicks because they know what I've been through.

Did you have a really bad experience with cake or something...?

[imstuck]

I ate more cake than I should have these past few years, but I don't think that's something they would focus on.

So when you say something you've been through, it's not related to cake?

[imstuck]

Only tangibly.

[He looks like he's thinking something for a bit, before she shrugs.]

Eh what the hell, a good chunk of you guys already know.

Before I was taken here, I was trapped in a time loop.

[It sounds like your life is a series of really, really bad experiences, Phil. Iwai almost pities you now]

At this point I'm resigned to the fact that this universe will never give me a break.

[She's pretty sure they're stuck in some kind of time warp, but an actual time loop might be worse. She's not sure.]

So like, you had to go through the same week over and over and over?
