WEEK 3

Week three opens like the other two weeks, but when you wake up, you know there's been a change in the area. At first, nothing is wrong - but when you look at any window, you aren't greeted with the cheery sight of the outside - instead, there's just a cold, harsh blackness. Trying to leave out the doors is impossible, too - if you try, you just find yourself back on the couches in the lobby. On top of that....The Staff are beginning to act even stranger, their glitching out becoming more obvious. Sometimes, they seemingly go blank mid sentence and walk away, as if they were reset, and slur or stutter their words.

The weather is...well, non-existent, except for the courtyard, which is still pleasantly snowy. There is still music playing in the halls, and the cover songs continue with some low-key music for the week.

On Monday morning, another memory is returned to everyone. Another piece to the puzzle, one step closer to finding the truth of this place. Yet, it doesn't seem like you're any closer to solving this...

And time still ticks onwards, regardless if you're ready or not.

[ punching that staff member away before he falls onto the ground, coughing and trying to get his breathing back under control ]

[ She'll let them deal with that one... just going over to kneel by Owain. Putting a hand on his back ]

[ still coughing, but turning his attention to Cinque, nodding at her ]

[ Patting his back and just staying there until he's okay. ]

[ breathing under control and just. taking a moment before he speaks, voice a little raspy ]

I'm... fine.

Let me seeeeeee.

[ Gently moving her hand close to his neck to try to scope out the bruises better. ]

Want me to try healing it?

--Thank you, but I'll be fine.

Okay.

[ Instead, she'll just give him a tight hug then. ]

[ he's definitely returning the hug ]

[ immediately joining and hovering very close ] Owain...

[ you know what

you KNOW WHAT

he's just immediately reaching out to grab Gerome's hand ]

[ ... he really doesn't want to do this here, but. but. clutching his owain's hand. there's only a moment's pause before he leans in to give him a light, short hug. ]

[ give him an inch and he's going to take a mile, you know this gerome, because he's just immediately hugging gerome back, pressing his face into gerome's neck ]

[ he knows, and he lets owain hang on longer than he should. gently holding him for a bit ] ... You need air. [ not hugs ]

[ owain pauses and turns his head, speaking something quietly into gerome's ear before he pulls away

his voice is a little raspy when he finally speaks outloud ]

You're right, I do.

[ the whisper earns an imperceptible quirk of his eyebrows. what's that about? rather than asking, he nods quietly and starts pulling away. slowly, because clearly it needs to be slow so as to not disturb owain's injuries ]

[ he appreciates the care and lets gerome go, making distance between them ]

That was... rather unexpected.

For all of us. We may have become too complacent with the staff. [ glancing over to see people flipping off the staff. a flawlessly covert hug, no one here is any the wiser.

[ his throat is rather red right now, with what look like finger marks around it ]

You're really making me wish I'd taken Falcoknight instead of Dark Flyer... well, um, maybe you should put something cool on it...

Don't worry yourself, dear cousin. I have been through far worse than this. [ coughing again ]

I got vulenaries and a Levin Sword here, if needed, I'll get a seal and become a Priest.

...yeah, I know. Still, Priests mostly heal other people, don't they? You should still be careful...
