RECORDING 13: THE FIFTH WEEK.

A fifth week in this place begins, with less of your number among you. It's practically routine at this point, isn't it?
Routine, also is the feeling when you wake up - it's clear the Miasma has gotten even thicker. Now everyone is at level 4 - barring the two 'lucky' negators among you, you are all suffering the effects, your eyes flashing a deep, dark purple when experiencing negative emotion.
Any magic that touches the house itself will corrode over time, just like last week. If a barrier is put in place and touches the floor, walls, or ceiling, in a few hours it will be completely consumed by the miasma and fizzle out. Spells or seals will also give off miasma, and healing is still reduced to even the most powerful of spells only healing minor injuries.
You will not be able to save a grievously injured person from death through spells anymore.
The Temperature has taken another dip. It's now in the 50's, and nippy to need a layer or two. As before, the rooms have changed, so hopefully you kept anything essential in the static area.
17 of your number still remain.
...What new horrors await you this week?

[...um.]
D-don't worry, I was a mannequin for all of that.

[She swings open the door, and takes a long look. Does anything stand out at a glance?]

It appears to have a keyhole. Maybe they can find the key around here some where? ]
no subject
Maybe we'll be lucky and there's not a single trap.

[She's amannequin again as she crosses the threshold, and as promised she firmly bangs her jointed wrist on the doorway on the way in, to tst and see if she takes and damage, or feels any pain.
And then she does that odd object-glide in, and begins to turn down the grand bed.]
Especially with my luck so far.

While Yachi does her odd glide and slide towards the bed, she may see something shiny on the table with the couches.
The bed itself seems safe. ]

I seem to go every-other week! Should I stay here until the all-clear since it's that week?
[half-joke, half-serious because he was good and didn't take chances last week]

[She investigates the table! What's shiny?]

A music box bomb would be so charming, though.
Okay~ But also try to back away as quick as you can once you open the box.
[slowly closing the door.]

[She tries the key in the music back and scoots back and to the side as promised, if it fits.]
CW: Spiders (Fake)
The lights start to flicker and the spider continues to dance.
The lights start to dim and the spider continues dance. The room just grows darker and darker until there's no longer any light at all inside of the room.
And the spider is still spinning.]

Music box music definitely sets a mood!

[...she panics, and does the first thing that comes to mind.
Now she, too, is a fake spider, identical to this one. She watches it warily from the edge of the box as it spins.]
no subject
Is Yachi going to move at all? ]
no subject
[She'll scoot back so she's on the table surface, rather than in the line of fire if the lid closes.
She also taps her plastic-y front spider legs together in a polite, nearly silent applause...?]
CW: Real Spiders

[It! Sure is! A good thing she doesn't need to breathe like this! Because her lungs sure would be paralyzed with fear right about now.
The fake spider is now five times bigger. She gives her back legs and awkward little shimmy dance, the rest still braced against the side of the music box.]
Spiders
no crawling across webs that now span across the entire floor of the room. ]

Hitoka?

There also seems to be something dripping from the webbing itself. Hm. ]
