RECORDING 9: THE THIRD TRIAL.

The worst has happened... and now you're all here, in the living room where all the trials so far have taken place. As all of you enter, the Vessel is there - Jack, looking expectant and as militaristic as ever.

On one of the tables away from the center is a small enclosed box entitled 'VOTES', with slips of paper nearby and a pen. It's sufficiently away from what will be the 'main' action, but not enough to really give anyone complete privacy as they vote.

Once everyone is inside, the doors automatically shut and lock themselves, leaving you trapped in here with the Vessel...and each other.

One of you is a murderer...however, in this game, the guilty do not need to be voted out. As long as there are enough people voted out that matches the victims...then it will be accepted.

...But, can you really let someone get away with murder...?

The choice is up to you.

But this time...potentially, someone innocent...must die as well.

She writes:

"So, if you were to turn yourself into a sword, someone was to swing you at a solid surface enough the edge was chipped... you could transform back into a human, and all would be well?"]

Um... probably? I haven't tested that, but I've never sustained damage in item form before. I've dealt with fatigue, though. I'm not very familiar with swords, either, aside from seeing museum exhibits, or toys.

[... A sad, unsure face. She turns the notepad back and writes more:

"All right, we'll save that for a dire emergency, Hitoka-chan. I can't think you'd do something like this..."]

I'm glad you think so well of me, Rosa-san. I wouldn't do something like this and I didn't, and I'm sure you didn't either. But, um... I know that's a little hard to just take as the honest truth when none of us could say otherwise. So... um, it's okay to doubt me if you need to! As long as we work hard to find the truth, we'll both be okay.

Well, it can't be anything magical, or that doesn't actually exist. I... don't actually know too many of the limits, sorry. They never tested it too thoroughly, before this mission. Mostly I looked over old files...

"That's fine... just don't turn yourself into a bomb."]

[She looks ill at the very thought.]
