RECORDING 3: THE FIRST TRIAL

The worst has happened... and now you're all here, in the living room where you first met Todd. As all of you enter, the Vessel is there - glowering at all of you, still missing the arm Dazai shorn from him with his touch.
On one of the tables away from the center is a small enclosed box entitled 'VOTES', with slips of paper nearby and a pen. It's sufficiently away from what will be the 'main' action, but not enough to really give anyone complete privacy as they vote.
Once everyone is inside, the doors automatically shut and lock themselves, leaving you trapped in here with the Vessel...and each other.
One of you is a murderer...however, in this game, the guilty do not need to be voted out. As long as there are enough people voted out that matches the victims...then it will be accepted.
...But, can you really let someone get away with murder...?
The choice...is up to you.
PEOPLE TO VOTE OUT: 1
WEEK 1 VOTING

[ which are hard to get in a late 19th century haunted house. ]
And even if we could, it's most likely that she would not retain her old memories. She'd be a clean slate, basically.

What if there was a way to... I don't know. Did she have 'eyes'? Could we see what image was burned into them last?
I'm sorry, I don't really know how it works.

I've had this in my head for a while. We're all assuming it was a joke or something that the head was in the lamp.
What if there was a reason it 'had' to be in the lamp?
no subject
[ well that's definitely something interesting. he raises an eyebrow, curious. ]
What significance could the lamp have?
no subject
Why bother? That's just an extra step that complicates things and means they could be caught doing it. It's the same situation even if they took the bulb first, they still have to bring her head back to the lamp. And why that lamp, and why that bulb?
--What if she was killed in the ballroom, the head was put in the lamp, the body smuggled to the shed, and there they made it look like the 'murder' happened?

[ hmm... ]
It makes me think that this was done to mock us. In other words, the killer went through all those extra steps to make a mockery not just of Olympia, but of everyone in this place. Whoever the culprit is doesn't care about getting caught or not. They just want to create a scene and watch us all spin our wheels when the signs are all pointing to an otherwise obvious conclusion.

That and the revival sigil in the ballroom makes me think the coincidences with Minamimoto-san are stacking higher and higher.

[Yeeeah, Emil already took as truth that Sho is the culprit]

Are we all thinking the same thing?
