RECORDING 3: THE FIRST TRIAL

The worst has happened... and now you're all here, in the living room where you first met Todd. As all of you enter, the Vessel is there - glowering at all of you, still missing the arm Dazai shorn from him with his touch.

On one of the tables away from the center is a small enclosed box entitled 'VOTES', with slips of paper nearby and a pen. It's sufficiently away from what will be the 'main' action, but not enough to really give anyone complete privacy as they vote.

Once everyone is inside, the doors automatically shut and lock themselves, leaving you trapped in here with the Vessel...and each other.

One of you is a murderer...however, in this game, the guilty do not need to be voted out. As long as there are enough people voted out that matches the victims...then it will be accepted.

...But, can you really let someone get away with murder...?

The choice...is up to you.

VICTIM: OLYMPIA
PEOPLE TO VOTE OUT: 1

WEEK 1 VOTING

Hmm... Maybe the killer saw you working on it and decided 'Oh, he was out and about without an alibi making weird art. So I can cover my murder by pointing at Sho'? Evidence that is 'true' makes 'fake' evidence sound more believable.
reanimania: (well it's not a pry bar)

[personal profile] reanimania 2020-04-18 04:36 pm (UTC)(link)
[ reluctantly puts the core there I GUESS ]
boardreversal: (That's crazy...!)

[personal profile] boardreversal 2020-04-18 04:36 pm (UTC)(link)
A backup plan? What kind of backup plan involves scratching weird graffiti into the ballroom?
zweivoltage: (Lord Protect Thy Flock...)

[personal profile] zweivoltage 2020-04-18 04:37 pm (UTC)(link)
It does seem a little too obvious, but we'll have to be careful not to overthink or just accept things at face value.
tangentlion: (heh!)

[personal profile] tangentlion 2020-04-18 04:37 pm (UTC)(link)
It's not my fault I'm the most zetta interesting guy here.
cw_suicide: (181)

[personal profile] cw_suicide 2020-04-18 04:37 pm (UTC)(link)
[yes, that feeling is what everyone experiences with this guy. welcome to the club.]
accessorytomurder: (handle bars)

[personal profile] accessorytomurder 2020-04-18 04:37 pm (UTC)(link)
...gh.

[She pulls a face, but... carefully presses her fingertips to the glove fingertips and pushes it inside out without touching the insides. Sissel shouldn't be the only one to sacrifice, here.]

It's possible she injured them with it at some point.

I suppose that would depend on Olympia herself. We don't exactly have information on how her body works, do we? Perhaps there is a reason and us less-mechanically-inclined just can't tell.
golden_dream: (Default)

[personal profile] golden_dream 2020-04-18 04:38 pm (UTC)(link)
...It does seem like something odd to say.
accessorytomurder: (fall head first)

[personal profile] accessorytomurder 2020-04-18 04:38 pm (UTC)(link)
I wonder why this cloth was so important they had to dispose of it like that, with the gloves?

[personal profile] tsunderine 2020-04-18 04:38 pm (UTC)(link)
If someone did return them, then wouldn't have someone have found a strange pair of shoes somewhere?

Nanaka-chan did say the marks were smudged, so wouldn't the shoes can been the same? Of course, it'd probably be harder to tell with black, but oil is a very strong smell.
zweivoltage: (What is this...?)

[personal profile] zweivoltage 2020-04-18 04:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Especially when they're dragging something heavy, I can't imagine trying it in oversized shoes would be comfortable.
eyeforai: (annoying intrusion)

[personal profile] eyeforai 2020-04-18 04:38 pm (UTC)(link)
You know it looks suspicious when your "art" is found in the vicinity of a crime scene, right? Might be best to be honest about what you wanted to use it for.
ghostricked: (But the cat came back)

Sorry, sorry. At least everything washes off?

[Time to sniff sniff, though he doesn't expect much more than oils and water and rust]
reanimania: (dramatic removal of glasses)

[personal profile] reanimania 2020-04-18 04:39 pm (UTC)(link)
The Foundation certainly has better resources than we do, yes. I still intend to give it a shot myself as long as we're here, though; I'm just as good of a scientist as anyone they have there, after all.
finalring: (pic#13816391)

[personal profile] finalring 2020-04-18 04:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, probably anyone that's mechanically savvy. I don't really know everyone's skill sets that well but...

[ he gulps, looking a little pale as he comes to a somewhat scary realization. ]

I know some stuff about robotics. Probably Saphir does as well, if he has come into contact with any mechanical SCPs during his time here. [ he pauses, clearly a bit more nervous now. ] But really, if there was no resistance, then it really could have been anyone silver tongued enough to convince her to show how to turn her off.
cw_suicide: (257)

[personal profile] cw_suicide 2020-04-18 04:39 pm (UTC)(link)
He really doesn't, does he.

It's certainly a detail to keep in mind, in any case.
tangentlion: (are you a real number right now)

[personal profile] tangentlion 2020-04-18 04:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Who knows.
golden_dream: (Happy Maria!)

[personal profile] golden_dream 2020-04-18 04:39 pm (UTC)(link)
[still coughing!!]

I'm fine! Just, something in my throat.

[waves a hand]

What do you think, Battler? Any ideas?
kaliedoscopes: (π˜ͺ𝘯 𝘒 𝘣𝘰𝘒𝘡 𝘰𝘯 𝘒 𝘳π˜ͺ𝘷𝘦𝘳)

It's likely, yeah. But if that's the case they either got sloppy or sought out healing in some way if they weren't capable of it on their own. It would be straightforward to reduce the suspect pool to those with injuries otherwise.

Not that we shouldn't check for injuries, but it's something to keep in mind.
tangentlion: (king of the heap)

[personal profile] tangentlion 2020-04-18 04:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Sounds rational to me. I'm an easy target.
soupervillain: (laughing)

[personal profile] soupervillain 2020-04-18 04:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Way to go, Doombot! Now we just have to find the guy around here wearing a band-aid...

[ looks at Dazai. looks at the metric ton of bandages covering his body ]

...uh. You don't count.
notbymyside: (08)

[personal profile] notbymyside 2020-04-18 04:40 pm (UTC)(link)
[He's looking over the physical evidence here, and he's considering everything.

...and considering.

He looks torn about something, but he isn't speaking up about it quite yet. So instead of addressing what's on his mind, he goes with something else:
]

Was anybody missing from their rooms last night? We can't implicate someone based on that, but if anyone has a solid alibi for the whole night then we can at least discount them, yes?
zweivoltage: (a curious boy.)

[personal profile] zweivoltage 2020-04-18 04:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Didn't Mr. Hikage mention finding blood on a screwdriver? Maybe it had their blood on it?
