RECORDING 3: THE FIRST TRIAL

The worst has happened... and now you're all here, in the living room where you first met Todd. As all of you enter, the Vessel is there - glowering at all of you, still missing the arm Dazai shorn from him with his touch.

On one of the tables away from the center is a small enclosed box entitled 'VOTES', with slips of paper nearby and a pen. It's sufficiently away from what will be the 'main' action, but not enough to really give anyone complete privacy as they vote.

Once everyone is inside, the doors automatically shut and lock themselves, leaving you trapped in here with the Vessel...and each other.

One of you is a murderer...however, in this game, the guilty do not need to be voted out. As long as there are enough people voted out that matches the victims...then it will be accepted.

...But, can you really let someone get away with murder...?

The choice...is up to you.

VICTIM: OLYMPIA
PEOPLE TO VOTE OUT: 1

WEEK 1 VOTING

[There is a whole lot of stuff happening with Olympia's body right now, although the lamp thing is pretty messed up? But there's another thing that catches his attention.]

Blood, huh. Think that means the perp was wounded somehow?

It's likely, yeah. But if that's the case they either got sloppy or sought out healing in some way if they weren't capable of it on their own. It would be straightforward to reduce the suspect pool to those with injuries otherwise.

Not that we shouldn't check for injuries, but it's something to keep in mind.
eyeforai: (articulate induction)

[personal profile] eyeforai 2020-04-18 04:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Right, but even if they found someone to heal them, that would be evidence too. We're working with a pretty narrow timeframe, and unless we think there's an accomplice involved, there's no reason to lie about healing someone in the past day or so.

[Although yeah, the issue is if they can heal themselves... sigh.]

You have a point. In that case...

[ Give him a minute or two he has to think back. ]

Of those who divulged general first aid skills in the meeting: Tohsaka Rin, Dr. Romani Archaman, Dr. Saphir Wyon Neis , Kenzaki Subete, Yachi Hitoka, Mo Xuanyu, Crow Armbrust, Haku, Jack Morrison

As for healers of magical properties, Marona.

Of course this list is only as comprehensive as people were honest, and I doubt those with self-healing abilities would disclose even if they were being fully compliant.

You have a good memory.

[He has personal experience with Marona at least.]

Still, that can help narrow things down a bit. Thanks.

I have the advantage of having not much else to remember. [ Smile. ]

If we can narrow it down further, I should be able to help more then.

[Hm! Okay, that's a interesting tidbit that could probably wait until after.]

It'd be appreciated.

...

Those are not the only magical healers, but Flayn would never do this or cover for anyone who would.

[ Seteth you're a good, Hikage nods. ]

Thank you for telling me, and although I don't know her well I agree.

I know she had mentioned it to Dazai at least, and I feel it’s better to be transparent.
