WEEK 2

With the nature of this 'game' out, the resort might not look so welcoming anymore. The staff are still ready to jump in and serve guests in any way they can, provided a request doesn't make them short-circuit, and the resort itself seems as warm and cheery as usual. But everyone knows the truth now. This resort is hiding some pretty big secrets, and it's only a matter of time before someone else turns up dead.

The weather is holding steady, at 'cold but still safe for outdoor activities'. The temperature seems to be dipping lower each day, though, and the previously-blue sky is starting to stay grey more often than not. Could that signal an approaching snowstorm? Who know. There is still music playing in the halls, and the cover songs continue with some low-key music for the week.

On Monday morning, another memory is returned to everyone. Another piece to the puzzle, one step closer to finding the truth of this place. But it might not be enough to put everything together yet, that might take some more time.

Most importantly, everyone needs to get to know each other. This 'game' is one of 'know your enemies', and your very survival depends on knowing when someone is acting odd.

Minato blinks slowly, and tilts his head, but obediently he comes a little closer.

Why is Akira skipping and trying sassy at once?]

You know... "innocent school girl" and "sassy troublemaker" don't go well together. [THE SKIPPING AND SASS...]

[purrtagonist]

[jerks a thumb at Roxas]

His fault. Your hand?

[extends his own, fingers waggling, eyes twinkling with mischief]

[messianic]

[He's not sure he trusts that look, but...

He gives Akira his hand anyway, expression curious.]

[purrtagonist]

[his fingers close around Minato's, and. . .]

[he yanks Minato forward, pulling him into a quick and possibly dizzying twirl]

[messianic]

[He's pretty sure his arm just got yanked out of its socket...

(No, Minato, you're being dramatic.)

He's swung around, and once the twirl is done, Minato...staggers a little.]

Whoa.

[HOWEVER, HE IS AS CALM AS EVER.]

[purrtagonist]

[. . .]

[l-laughs a little, breathless and airy, before pulling Minato into another twirl]

[messianic]

[He is just getting dizzier like this!

Akira twirls him again and Minato ends up clutching to Akira's forearms so he doesn't stumble, though there's a curve of a smile on his lips now.]

You forgot...the other parts of the dance.

[purrtagonist]

Shh. No time for fancy footwork. Only twirling now.

[ONE MORE TWIRL FOR THE ROAD]

[messianic]

[TWIRLED AGAIN.

He's more ready for it this time.]

Does that mean you have some fancy footwork stashed away?

Maybe. Maybe not.

Dare me to show you and I might give you a true answer to that question.

[Akira!!]

[messianic]

... Well.

Okay.

Truth or dare, Akira?

Truth.

[OH SNAP]

[that playful twinkle has yet to go out]

[He's not even surprised. BUT HEY, HE'LL ROLL WITH IT.

Peacefully:]

Do you have a significant other?

[purrtagonist]

[damn it his unpredictability came back to bite him]

Ah. . . nnnnno?

[WAIT DON'T SOUND SO UNCERTAIN ABOUT IT]

I mean-- no. I definitely don't.

[a beat]

Unless you count my one true love in the universe: Christmas turkey.

[messianic]

[Yeah, he did sound pretty uncertain about it, much to Minato's amusement. His lips quirk, but he doesn't call Akira out on it.]

Christmas turkey is a pretty valid love, I understand that.

[purrtagonist]

[solemnly (and, btw, he's still holding Minato's hands)]

You never forget your first love.

[messianic]

[Sometimes that just happens.]

I'm sure you two will be very happy together around Christmas-time.

[purrtagonist]

[his mouth twitches]

Thanks for your unending support, senpai.

Truth or dare?

[messianic]

[A considering pause...and:]

Dare.

[Hit him with it.]

[purrtagonist]

[mmmMMMMMM]

[llllengthy pause while Akira tries to figure out. . . what. he wants to do, here. and in the end?]

I dare you to dance with me.

[that's what it is]

[messianic]

[That's quite the smirk for a decision like that, kouhai...]

... Okay.

I'm not very good at dancing, though--fair warning if I step on your feet.

[purrtagonist]

[he feels like he's being clever leave him alone!1]

My feet can take it. Ballroom style?

[already taking one of Minato's hands in his own, the other coming to settle near his waist]

[messianic]

[Minato snorts softly, but mimics the pose properly.]

You lead, and I'll follow.

[Sweep him into a ballroom dance, Akira.]

[purrtagonist]

I make no promises about where I’m leading you.

[because. . . he actually has no idea how to ballroom dance. . .]

[but he is pulling Minato into a dance to a silent beat, even if it’s more swaying in rhythm than anything else]

[messianic]

[... well.

It's not quite a proper ballroom dance, but it's still pretty fun.

At some point, Minato just starts humming a tune? Like a very lighthearted version of this. He's having a good time here.

And he has a good voice so it's fine.]
