WEEK 2

With the nature of this 'game' out, the resort might not look so welcoming anymore. The staff are still ready to jump in and serve guests in any way they can, provided a request doesn't make them short-circuit, and the resort itself seems as warm and cheery as usual. But everyone knows the truth now. This resort is hiding some pretty big secrets, and it's only a matter of time before someone else turns up dead.

The weather is holding steady, at 'cold but still safe for outdoor activities'. The temperature seems to be dipping lower each day, though, and the previously-blue sky is starting to stay grey more often than not. Could that signal an approaching snowstorm? Who know. There is still music playing in the halls, and the cover songs continue with some low-key music for the week.

On Monday morning, another memory is returned to everyone. Another piece to the puzzle, one step closer to finding the truth of this place. But it might not be enough to put everything together yet, that might take some more time.

Most importantly, everyone needs to get to know each other. This 'game' is one of 'know your enemies', and your very survival depends on knowing when someone is acting odd.

[damn it his unpredictability came back to bite him]

[WAIT DON'T SOUND SO UNCERTAIN ABOUT IT]

I mean-- no. I definitely don't.

[a beat]

Unless you count my one true love in the universe: Christmas turkey.

[messianic]

[Yeah, he did sound pretty uncertain about it, much to Minato's amusement. His lips quirk, but he doesn't call Akira out on it.]

Christmas turkey is a pretty valid love, I understand that.

[purrtagonist]

[solemnly (and, btw, he's still holding Minato's hands)]

You never forget your first love.

[Sometimes that just happens.]

I'm sure you two will be very happy together around Christmas-time.

[his mouth twitches]

Truth or dare?

[A considering pause...and:]

Dare.

[Hit him with it.]

[purrtagonist]

[mmmMMMMMM]

[llllengthy pause while Akira tries to figure out. . . what. he wants to do, here. and in the end?]

I dare you to dance with me.

[that's what it is]

[messianic]

[That's quite the smirk for a decision like that, kouhai...]

... Okay.

I'm not very good at dancing, though--fair warning if I step on your feet.

[purrtagonist]

[he feels like he's being clever leave him alone!1]

My feet can take it. Ballroom style?

[already taking one of Minato's hands in his own, the other coming to settle near his waist]

[Minato snorts softly, but mimics the pose properly.]

You lead, and I'll follow.

[Sweep him into a ballroom dance, Akira.]

I make no promises about where I’m leading you.

[because. . . he actually has no idea how to ballroom dance. . .]

[but he is pulling Minato into a dance to a silent beat, even if it’s more swaying in rhythm than anything else]

[... well.

It's not quite a proper ballroom dance, but it's still pretty fun.

At some point, Minato just starts humming a tune? Like a very lighthearted version of this. He's having a good time here.

And he has a good voice so it's fine.]

[purrtagonist]

[. . . cute. . .]

Ah, now that's a catchy tune that could get caught in anyone's head.

[Akira teases, smile a bit lopsided as he. . . ducks his head, and continues swaying]

It was the most waltz-y thing I could think of.

[Amusedly...!!]

It'd be better with real instruments, though.

[purrtagonist]

Maybe. But we improvise when needed, right?

[twirling Minato again! a because he can!!]

[messianic]

[Twirled again...!!

Minato shrugs.]

Even if we had some speakers... I have some classical music on my mp3 player.

[HE... HE DOES??]

[purrtagonist]

[maybe we should dance to it later, Akira thinks. but wisely he does not say that aloud]

I never would've pegged you as a classical music fan.

[messianic]

I like all music.

[Said so, so simply, but meant so intensely.]

It's probably my favorite thing.

[As they come to a stop, Minato lingers in that position for a moment...and then retrieves his hands.]

Anyway...thanks. That was fun.

[and Akira lets them go, Minato's fingers slipping from his own]
