Week 2 Mingle

WEEK 2

With the nature of this 'game' out, the resort might not look so welcoming anymore. The staff are still ready to jump in and serve guests in any way they can, provided a request doesn't make them short-circuit, and the resort itself seems as warm and cheery as usual. But everyone knows the truth now. This resort is hiding some pretty big secrets, and it's only a matter of time before someone else turns up dead.

The weather is holding steady, at 'cold but still safe for outdoor activities'. The temperature seems to be dipping lower each day, though, and the previously-blue sky is starting to stay grey more often than not. Could that signal an approaching snowstorm? Who know. There is still music playing in the halls, and the cover songs continue with some low-key music for the week.

On Monday morning, another memory is returned to everyone. Another piece to the puzzle, one step closer to finding the truth of this place. But it might not be enough to put everything together yet, that might take some more time.

Most importantly, everyone needs to get to know each other. This 'game' is one of 'know your enemies', and your very survival depends on knowing when someone is acting odd.

[ Roxas doesn't need to check if Kohaku is in his room because at the repeated squeaking, he's coming out of it. He looks pissed, but normal levels of pissed not 'I am going to try and stab all of the staff' pissed. ]

Could you stop that?
13thpromise: (slaps me awake)

1/2

[personal profile] 13thpromise 2018-12-06 12:52 am (UTC)(link)
...

[ squeaks it again but quieter ]
13thpromise: (In your)

2/2

[personal profile] 13thpromise 2018-12-06 12:53 am (UTC)(link)
Why did you throw it out?
dolleyed: (27)

[personal profile] dolleyed 2018-12-06 12:59 am (UTC)(link)
[ I hope the audible gritting of teeth that comes from Kohaku at the squeak is worth it. I really hope it is. ]

The better question is, why did I even get it in the first place?
13thpromise: (Just like a)

[personal profile] 13thpromise 2018-12-06 01:03 am (UTC)(link)
[ Sorry he's like this - sometimes when you tell a kid not to do something...they feel even more compelled to do the thing. ]

...Maybe the staff thought you liked chickens? Or they thought it was funny to give you a fake one.

[ The latter seems more likely now that he thinks about it. ]
dolleyed: (43)

[personal profile] dolleyed 2018-12-06 08:27 pm (UTC)(link)
[ Why would he like chickens?! Though, actually... ]

God, it's because I complained about the execution music, isn't it? They're just going to give me progressively more hideous-sounding things.
13thpromise: (You)

[personal profile] 13thpromise 2018-12-06 11:12 pm (UTC)(link)
[ Because they're so delicious- okay no. ]

That'd be dumb, but something tells me they'd really be that petty...or maybe just this once? What else would they give you next, you think?

[ A clown horn? ]
dolleyed: (44)

[personal profile] dolleyed 2018-12-07 01:05 am (UTC)(link)
[ How much worse can get get than squeaky chicken. ]

Maybe they'll just stand in my room day and night scratching their nails over chalkboard.
13thpromise: (in a smile)

[personal profile] 13thpromise 2018-12-07 01:09 am (UTC)(link)
[ Ten squeaky chickens all at once, at nighttime. ]

Or they'll stand in your room, doing this--

[ Cups hands around his mouth and makes a very bad replication of a rooster's crowing. ]

[personal profile] dolleyed 2018-12-07 01:20 am (UTC)(link)
[ That one actually makes Kohaku laugh. ]

Come on, no way they're funny enough for that.
13thpromise: (who hid behind your smile)

[personal profile] 13thpromise 2018-12-07 03:00 am (UTC)(link)
[ He sports a knowing smile himself, lowering his hands. ]

Too bad though, right?

[ Even if he doesn't like them very much, it really would be kind of hilarious. ]
dolleyed: (47)

[personal profile] dolleyed 2018-12-08 01:41 am (UTC)(link)
They'd get points for creativity, but... I'd rather not have any of those things in my room, ever.

[ They absolutely give him the creeps. ]
13thpromise: (I must)

[personal profile] 13thpromise 2018-12-08 02:16 am (UTC)(link)
[ Same hat, Kohaku, same hat... ]

...Yeah, being around them is weird enough.

[ He has a hard time trusting anything like them at all, on top of disliking them, so. ]
dolleyed: (08)

[personal profile] dolleyed 2018-12-09 08:15 pm (UTC)(link)
I really can't stand them. They're not zombies but they feel like animated dolls all the same. I hate things like that, there's not a shred of personality in them.

[ Grump grump grump, he is thinking about these complaints like... 24/7 lately. ]
13thpromise: (Don’t just grab a hold of my heart)

[personal profile] 13thpromise 2018-12-09 08:26 pm (UTC)(link)
[ Roxas has to kind of wonder if these things have always been like that. ]

They act too strange, and even if they didn't, I don't think I can really trust anything that's still connected with the people who've forced us to stay here.
dolleyed: (38)

[personal profile] dolleyed 2018-12-09 08:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, for sure. Trusting them is out of the question from the get-go.

But sometimes shitty people working for shitty causes are at least still people and I'd prefer to hate someone and deck them in the face for it over this on any day.
13thpromise: (you that has hidden deep inside)

[personal profile] 13thpromise 2018-12-09 08:57 pm (UTC)(link)
[ Roxas wonders if he feels the same...he doesn't quite think so. But, he thinks he can get why Kohaku would think that - maybe. ]

Is it because it's not as satisfying?
dolleyed: (13)

[personal profile] dolleyed 2018-12-09 09:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, that too?

[ CAN'T DENY IT. ]

Killing zombies is more satisfying than fighting people though because they actually stay gone. Getting rid of them is good for something. The staff isn't like that, so they're just loathsome on every single level.
13thpromise: (Yeah)

[personal profile] 13thpromise 2018-12-09 11:35 pm (UTC)(link)
[ It's okay, not much judging going on here... ]

I guess the only good thing about them is that they give us stuff when we ask - most of the time.

[ Not that he likes doing that a lot, but if they're stuck here...yeah. ]
