Everyone who was there in some shape or form for the meeting on March 1st gets a notice that soon, the location where they'll have to go to watch what happened in the Winchester Incident will be made available for them. Frisk requests a list of those going to see what happened, but doesn't seem to discourage high numbers.

And shortly before the 30th, those that signed up will finally get a name and place - The Hayes Mansion, only a little bit away by drive from the Winchester House. As they drive, the more magically inclined might be able to sense a powerful barrier emanating from the direction the Winchester House is located, though they'll be unable to see anything.

Arriving there, they'll find that any and all other guests have been removed from the Hotel resort, and there's a sign on the door saying that it is Closed for major renovation and fumigation, which would explain the outfits you were given to be 'seen' walking into the place with, as well as all the vans and 'containers' you were told to put your belongings into.

Once inside, a helpful staff member directs you to put the costumes into a specific bin for collection- unless, of course, you would like to keep wearing them - and then another directs you to the front desk, where a pleasant, yet authoritative man is waiting.

So

Unless Tages is completely invisible / untraceable, and/or living in the walls, it is extremely likely that "Tages" is one of the remaining agents.

Which means, regardless of Agent Frisk's feelings on the matter, there is no reason to risk a rescue mission.

There are no worthwhile leaders in that house.

but i still want to try to save the people inside if we can.

Agreed on Red. Disagree on rescue mission. Too risky. Unless there's something on the remaining tapes to change my mind, anyone sent there will likely suffer the same fate.

plus, this is a foundation mission, so i don't know if we're actually allowed to just give up when we haven't reviewed all the materials yet.

This is not "giving up", it is "making a decision that will not result in more mass casualties of useful Foundation personnel." Not that I care what happens to the Foundation, but there is a high likelihood of the agents used being 6350s.

... that said, it isn't over until it's over, and you're right. We cannot jump to conclusions until all the data is in.

It is looking extremely bleak, though, you understand.

i know. but i still want to look for a way to save them. there might be clues we can find now that we know a lot more about what's going on than they did twenty years ago.

And how many are you willing to sacrifice for a chance to save those few souls? Another 29 people? 50? 100?

We should just find a way to eliminate the entire thing -- from a distance -- and hope it sets them free. It is not worth it.

What was the purpose of all this? If it was to get a reliable O5 candidate to replace the clown man, then that ship has long since sailed.

But if your purpose was to try and save these people from their fate... Well. I am still not optimistic.

The odds are not good, I agree. However... that kind of thinking is the cause of much of their problems. We are not planning to rush in.

And as Yoshi suggested, we can look for Red as well.

In the end, mine is just an opinion -- the Foundation is not my problem anymore. My only concern is for the safety of the 6350s who remain, and who are yet to be stolen from their worlds.

But if it were me, I'd be investing significantly more energy into tracking down Red than trying to infiltrate the Winchester Mansion.

But I do want to save them if I can. At the very least, I refuse to do nothing. Not to mention that blowing up the place might make matters worse rather than better.

Agreed. If we can find a way to save them, we should, regardless of whether it personally benefits us.

The cat, perhaps. Maybe the Golden King, if he can learn an iota of humility. The rest I find to range from abhorrent to decent agents, but none are "O5" material. Especially not when Red is still a potential option.

I am not convinced that whoever Tages is would not also fuck everyone over... but at least not deliberately.

It would be a different story if the information about Tages didn't lead directly into a death trap. But it does. The likelihood you will be able to rescue something that could potentially serve as an O5 from that mess without losing your lives -- perhaps permanently -- in the process is slim to none. Even if you do get them out of there, what then? What if Tages has perished? He's not a 6350, he can't just be shoved into a new body. What if he is too tainted by Miasma to be of any use?

Sometimes, no leads are better than being led to your doom.
