Week 4

It finally happened. Someone murdered, and was punished for it. After a particularly grueling trial, one much worse than the games ever were, everyone definitely needed the rest of the weekend to rest up. But now it is Monday once more, and that means it is time to get back to 'work'.

The cameras have moved again, and the contestants will need to be careful where they say what until their new locations have been revealed. In addition to that, the house itself seems to have changed, with its usual colorful appearance suddenly a bit more grey. Even the weather seems to be gloomy, with those storm clouds from last week starting to overcast the area, threatening to drop rain.

Seventeen contestants remain in this game of death. How many more will fall before the game is over? And how many more will be driven to murder?

Well, I told this story in the Hotel, too, but...

In my own world, I actually died when I was a child. However, the church saw that I had a strong desire to live, and we made something of a contract. The church would allow me to live, but I would work for them, and in exchange I would become something other than human... I can't really think of anything that quite matches it in this world's culture, but the closest example I can think of is "undead"?

Well, let's see... I was more or less possessing my own body, but it was still 'dead'. The Star Energy I possessed was used to "imitate life" for the body, so it could do things like grow, bleed, and regenerate extremely quickly, but not everything works correctly. At the very least, anyone hwo touched me would notice that my body didn't actually have a normal body temperature, and I had no sense of taste or need to eat anything. My sense of smell was made a lot stronger, though.

I also had to have periodic star energy infusions to stay "alive", too.

[Silver nods, pulling out his nerd knowledge] Sounds more like a lich than anything, except without a phylactery. Well... I'm glad you're properly alive again. I'm sure it's a relief.

It really is. Though admittedly, it took me a while to realize I was. Then some of the doctors told me that the problems I was having was that I was starving, and... Well, it was a surprise.

But yes, back in my own world, people like me were known as "Stillbloods" by the Church. I don't know if this world has a real analogue to it, but lich is... probably the closest?

Ah?! You didn't realize you were hungry? ... Well I guess that makes sense, if you can't ever remember what it felt like. Wow, though. That's pretty interesting, though.
