Week 4

It finally happened. Someone murdered, and was punished for it. After a particularly grueling trial, one much worse than the games ever were, everyone definitely needed the rest of the weekend to rest up. But now it is Monday once more, and that means it is time to get back to 'work'.

The cameras have moved again, and the contestants will need to be careful where they say what until their new locations have been revealed. In addition to that, the house itself seems to have changed, with its usual colorful appearance suddenly a bit more grey. Even the weather seems to be gloomy, with those storm clouds from last week starting to overcast the area, threatening to drop rain.

Seventeen contestants remain in this game of death. How many more will fall before the game is over? And how many more will be driven to murder?

Ah, you remembered. [ And he sounds real pleased about that really, both to Nora and Akira. ]

Yes, I can use all manners of elemental spells. Fire, Ice, Wind, Electricity. [ Here just going to summon some electricity to dance over his fingers. ]

As for summoning...I am limited in the level of demon I am capable of summoning here. Normally it is near infinite, however.

[ ... he's just. Ridiculously overpowered and yeah that's not all of it not even close. ]

[Dog, kettle, box?? Something weird happened to this analogy but it's fine. Nora's just deadeyeing the electricity because what's with all you people and your weird elements.]

An' they're all comin' out looking like bad videogames. Maybe the House just really likes videogames.

[They keep getting consoles, after all. Stop getting distracted, Nora.]

I agree, but everyone was hesitant to do so in trial.

[ He closes his fist and electricity peeters out. ]

Yes, that too. I have yet to ask any of them if they feel any different, but I will ask Ogre next time.

Nobody was bein' hesitant.

[That's a mutinous sort of grumble but he's not that interested in talking about trial just now, in this setting, so instead:]

Why can't ya just ask him now.

[I'm sorry Ogre, you're now a casualty of hamfisted subject changes.]

Hm...

[ But sure he'll drop that subject to take up torturing Ogre. ]

I suppose I can. [ He waves a hand and his very tired, very weary Animal Crossing Ogre appears. ]

NO MORE BIRDS. NO MORE CRABS. NO MORE WHEELS.

I'll take your complaints into consideration. [ Alcor's not going to, at all. ]

Status report.

STUPID HOUSE. STUPID ANIMALS. STUPID EVERYTHING.

[Somebody save Ogre, but neither Nora nor Alcor have any mercy here so RIP.]

Ya forgot stupid Host. And stupid games!!

[Apparently no self-awareness of any running similarities aside from the demon bit. Oh, well. Nora squints at the pixelated Ogre once more.]

That ain't a status report, though.

Nora is right. Do I need to repeat myself?

That is fine. I will use an alternate means of assessment then. [ Did you ever want to see an animal crossing Ogre get crunched into a literal pixel? Well you have now, Nora. ]

...his stats are the same as normal.

The Prinnies really freaked him out, huh... Keh, they're not even that big an' they're made out of fluff and air.

[Nora blinks and then squints a little at the crunching sound -- it looks like some kind of cross between a wince and sheer curiosity, because Alcor sure has been crunching more things lately. The Ogre is way smaller than the Prinnies now, but it was for science or something.]

Didn't know you could check stats that way? The hell? [can he go poke the pixel] Can ya turn it back or are you just goin' to use another Ogre next time.

Some demons can be overly sensitive. [ Nora absolutely can poke the Ogre Pixel but when he does it crumbles into dust. RIP Ogre. ]

Ah, I did not so much as check his stats as I reduced him to 1 HP as a way of assessing whether he had gotten weaker. The prinnies were able to down him last week, so when I resummon him at a later point it will be this same Ogre, just revived. Usually that would not be the case unless I had established a contracted bond with him as I have with Bifrons and Botis, but it seems the house has trapped him here as well.

My Personas have been complaining that they feel weaker.

[Akira knows he was pretty quiet at the trial but honestly? He's spent most of his time since last Wednesday just trying to glue himself back together.]

For me personally, I am restricted to the demons who are of low power level to start.

Huh... That's interesting. Maybe because I don't have access to my lower level Personas, just the ones I had with me.

[ Bringing his hand to his chin. ]

If that was the case for me, I would have access to Bifrons and Botis but I do not. They are my personal demons rather than the stock ones I have been able to summon here.
