Week 4

It finally happened. Someone murdered, and was punished for it. After a particularly grueling trial, one much worse than the games ever were, everyone definitely needed the rest of the weekend to rest up. But now it is Monday once more, and that means it is time to get back to 'work'.

The cameras have moved again, and the contestants will need to be careful where they say what until their new locations have been revealed. In addition to that, the house itself seems to have changed, with its usual colorful appearance suddenly a bit more grey. Even the weather seems to be gloomy, with those storm clouds from last week starting to overcast the area, threatening to drop rain.

Seventeen contestants remain in this game of death. How many more will fall before the game is over? And how many more will be driven to murder?

Huh? Okay....

[He's not sure what's going on, but he certainly doesn't hesitate. He trusts Silver without any reservations, so he offer his left wrist to his best friend with his eyes very obviously scrunched shut.]

[There's something light brushing against his wrist, and the weird buzzing sensation of Silver's PK. He tied something to Leo's wrist?]

Ok! Open your eyes.

[There's now a colorful bracelet tied around Leo's wrist. Silver holds up his hand -- he has a matching one]

Heheh... I got these in my pile of stuff today.

[Leo looks down at his wrist, then up at Silver as he breaks into a genuine grin.]

Thanks, buddy. It means a lot to me, y'know? Maybe it's selfish with everything that's going on, but I'm glad you're here.

[Silver smiles too. It's tired, and worn, but it's genuine]

I'm glad you're here, too. Even if this whole thing sucks. It sucks a little less with a friend.

A lot of people like you, so hopefully that will keep you safe. And I'm gonna watch over you as much as I can.

Like me? I dunno about that. [he kicks his feet in the pool] I appreciate it, though. Same goes for you!

Didn't you see how many people were worried about you when you were upset? It wasn't just me, you know.

Heheh... yeah... I guess I gave everyone a bit of a scare, huh? I didn't mean to... I think I'm finally starting to feel more like myself again... just a little.

Same here. I mean, I'm trying, but it's not easy. It's not like dying on a mission, where you're doing something good. This is just pointless and cruel.

Yeah... It's easy to lose hope when it feels like everything is stacked against you. And then when Sandalphon turned on Aqua.... I just thought we were at least in this together, you know?

[eldritcheyes]

People do crazy things when they're desperate. Maybe he'll regret what he did someday, but that doesn't bring either of them back. That's our job, making sure everybody gets out of here, even if it means looking death in the eye and telling it that we want our friends back.

... Yeah. I want to get everyone out of here, too. They... they can't be gone for good. I don't believe it.
