It finally happened. Someone murdered, and was punished for it. After a particularly grueling trial, one much worse than the games ever were, everyone definitely needed the rest of the weekend to rest up. But now it is Monday once more, and that means it is time to get back to 'work'.

The cameras have moved again, and the contestants will need to be careful where they say what until their new locations have been revealed. In addition to that, the house itself seems to have changed, with its usual colorful appearance suddenly a bit more grey. Even the weather seems to be gloomy, with those storm clouds from last week starting to overcast the area, threatening to drop rain.

Seventeen contestants remain in this game of death. How many more will fall before the game is over? And how many more will be driven to murder?

By designation I recognize the correct answer is yes, but using other measures I cannot say I agree.

You were so protective over your free will in that argument with Leo. Free will is what makes us 6350s not the puppets the Foundation wants us to be.

Maybe our experiences are just too different.

Yes, I agree that we all have free will even as 6350's. But we express that free will differently, which is in many ways natural.

I am not your enemy Ingway, nor did I ever have the intention to be. But I cannot say our goals are aligned, and even moreso our methods.

One thing the Foundation has given me is an abundance of time. If you wish us to understand each other, let's begin.

[ There's a lot of blinking, but Alcor does sit eventually, the mug of coffee cradled in his hands. ]

Saki said in the trial that she would exchange her life story for the truth. Is that a common thing for you, exchanges?

[visionem]

No, I would not offer such an exchange normally. But given time constraints it is very difficult and in some ways impossible, to observe her and her will as I would normally do.

[darkova]

It's true that we are not exactly in a natural environment and any of us could die at any time.

May I ask why you are interested in her?

[visionem]

The impending nature of mortality is less of an issue than the limitations this house sets on me, and us all.

[ So that might be a hint there because destruction and world ending threats are...honestly in some way normal to him. ]

It is difficult for me to articulate, but I will try. I am interested in anyone, human or not- [ More emphasis here because the non-human bit is all new and shiny. ] who express their will unyieldingly, regardless of circumstance. Those who are the outliers in the system, those who may very well break it or heal it. The shining lights in a sea of darkness.

[darkova]

[He ponders this]

So it was Sandelphon's willingness to kill even though we all tried to tell him it was foolish, that made you decide to help him?

[visionem]

That is part of it, yes.

[darkova]

And also because he was your friend.

[Not a question- but a guess, considering how Sandy reacted at the trial]

Yes, my very first divine one.

[ That means more than he's able to put into words, but he sounds strikingly confident in it all the same. Just don't tell Sandy. ]

Divine- so you are similar beings?

[visionem]

Indeed. At the least, more similar than we are to humans.

[darkova]

Ah. Perhaps that is why I can't fully understand it. Beings like gods and angels were something I never knew of before coming to this world.

[visionem]

There was no religion in your world?

[darkova]

There was, in a way. But all this organized doctrine and named beings...

On Erion, when you die you become one with the heavens, and can pray for it's bounty, or are sent to the Netherworld to be punished. But you can go to the Netherworld while living, if you know the way. I have done it myself more than once- 'Tis a place, not another world or state of being. I suppose it's pointless to build a sprawling belief system when you can literally prove what is or is not true.

[visionem]

I cannot speak for Sandalphon, but there was no organized doctrine in regards to what I am in my world. But several manmade religions did brush close to the truth.

[ But Netherworld stuff, huh. ]

I would expect the religion in your world to be centered about the tales and myths of the Netherworld. Before mankind was able to routinely reach all the continents of the world, there were many superstitions about the relatively unexplored land.

Did your journey take you to the Netherworld, or were you an explorer?

[darkova]

My people came from a far away land to Erion- so I can not say if that was the case in the past.

As for myself... I explored a little for my own sake. There are treasures and knowledge in the land of the dead only powerful sorcerers dare try to find. But never beyond the borders until shortly before I was brought here. I traveled into the bowels of those lands in order to barter with it's Queen.

Oh? Was it for a soul perhaps?

[darkova]

I wish I could say I was quite so noble. And taking a soul from Odette would be a short victory- she is a vengeful Queen. No, I went to her doorstep to ask for her dead army to aid me in a battle. The offered price being my life and service to her in death.
