Week 4

It finally happened. Someone murdered, and was punished for it. After a particularly grueling trial, one much worse than the games ever were, everyone definitely needed the rest of the weekend to rest up. But now it is Monday once more, and that means it is time to get back to 'work'.

The cameras have moved again, and the contestants will need to be careful where they say what until their new locations have been revealed. In addition to that, the house itself seems to have changed, with its usual colorful appearance suddenly a bit more grey. Even the weather seems to be gloomy, with those storm clouds from last week starting to overcast the area, threatening to drop rain.

Seventeen contestants remain in this game of death. How many more will fall before the game is over? And how many more will be driven to murder?

[ he'll take her all the way to the kitchen. he's obviously aware of her presence, but he needs some coffee. ]

Just making sure you weren't getting any more bad ideas.

I doubt I was the only one that wants to go home. Why not check on them instead?

I can check on them later, assuming the others haven't already.

Then there's nothing to worry about. Focus on something more important.

[ he'll just sullenly sip his coffee. ]

It's important to me that you promise not to try to kill anyone this week.

[odasaku]

[ oda opens his mouth, ready to say something.

but he pauses, and sighs. ]

Yeah, okay. That’s what matters, right?

[allmyfriendsaredead]

Of course it is.

[Duh? Although another thought seems to occur to her belatedly.]

--And don't let yourself be killed, either. I don't want any murders this week at all.

[odasaku]

Mhm.

[ he seems to no longer be paying attention to her, instead frowning at his coffee. ]

[allmyfriendsaredead]

[Which means, naturally, it's time for her to get in his face.]

Are you even paying attention?

[odasaku]

[ he nods ]

Don't kill and don't get killed.

[allmyfriendsaredead]

Good.

[A beat. She's still here.]

...Do you really want to die that badly?

[ he sips his coffee in silence, thinking. ]

And if I did?

Here, at the hands of the Foundation?

[ he shakes his head ]

Not really.

[allmyfriendsaredead]

[She's silent for a moment.]

Then... can I make a request of you while you're here?

[odasaku]

Go ahead.

[allmyfriendsaredead]

Don't kill, and don't be killed - but try to protect as many of the people here as you can.

Can you at least do that?

[odasaku]

I haven't been able to protect anyone at all, Saki.

[ he can't really look at her in the eyes right now. ]

That'll just turn out to be a huge disappointment.

[allmyfriendsaredead]

So now it's not even worth it to try?

The lives of everyone else aren't worth trying to protect?

[odasaku]

...I didn't say that.

[ he sighs ]

I just can't promise that I'll be able to do it.

[allmyfriendsaredead]

But you can promise to try, can't you?

To try to preserve as many lives here as you can.
