Week 3, Saturday
This time, when everyone files into the studio, they aren't escorted to their seats. Instead, they are sent to podiums up on the stage arrange in a semi-circle. Everyone can see each other, and everyone is also visible to the cameras. Off to stage right is a jury box with 12 prinnies in it, all in various states of 'fancy dress'. One is wearing a suit top, another a blouse, one a huge Colonial-era wig. To stage left at box 0 is Dazai's seat, where he will be spending most of the trial, but he will get up to move around at times. And in the very center is a picture of Aqua. Once everyone is in their spots, one of the prinnies will hit a gavel against the podium in front of it, signaling the start of the trial.
It's time to find Aqua's killer.

Trial start + questions for Dazai
Starting from this moment, you will have six hours to go over the evidence and figure out the killer. When you feel you have found the killer, select the answer on your podium. Whoever has the most votes at the end of the trial will be deemed responsible and executed.
Take care with your votes! The trial will immediately end if everybody votes, so don't vote until you are sure of your answer. And if you do not vote, a vote will be chosen randomly for you.
[On the podium screen is a list of 25 names: all contestants, plus 'Dazai Osamu'. Since they can only select names from the list, there is no way to vote for anything else.]
I am here to clarify anything as need be, but the trial will depend on all of you. Do your best, everyone.

...Why are you listed on here as a potential killer?

she's curious ]
What would happen if the majority voted for a dead person?
no subject
Really, we list everyone in case someone is trying to pull the "haha you thought I was dead but not really" kind of thing and you figure that out. Don't vote for a dead person, it won't be a good day.

If yes to that first one-- was there an accomplice in this murder?
no subject
And as to if there was an accomplice...
[SHRUG]
You will have to figure that out on your own. There might be, there might not be. But for the purposes of the trial, a killer is the person who dealt the killing blow. Anyone else would be an accomplice, if there was anyone else involved.

is asking ]
Okay, so a few questions:
1. What happens in the event of a tie? Does the answer get randomized between the two of them?
2. What happens if someone is scapegoated? Do we know that they were a scapegoat? Are we told who the real killer is? Or will that part remain a mystery?
no subject
If you vote wrong, you will be told so. I won't reveal who the actual killer was, though. That is for them to decide if they want to confess or not.
