Week 3 Mingle

The last week has brought the first spilled blood. Three of the contestants are gone, with the promise of more to fall soon. The atmosphere around the house will start to get heavy around Wednesday, which is when the first game of the week is. It's almost like the house knows something is up...

The conspiracy is beginning to unravel. Dazai isn't Dazai, and the cracks are forming in his act. But that act must be held up, or the Foundation will be brought in to take control of the game. Now everyone must play the part and act like everything is normal, at least on camera. That stress of always performing is bound to make someone crack eventually.

Once again, the cameras and microphones change. The contestants will have to search out new spots for their secret conversations. Even one wrong step, one wrong word, and it's all over for this group. Everyone is watching, and they need to play their roles.

They better keep an eye out too, because storm clouds are starting to loom over the area, both figuratively and literally.

[What's science. He's just being petulant because he has no idea what's going on but also possibly because he's being distracted by the thought of a zillion marshmallow dishes. Local dog is led astray Once Again by food. No wait.]

No. At least not normally, for I do not need to eat or drink to sustain myself. This week in particular however, I am running mostly on coffee.

How the hell is this House working... [that's half directed at Alcor and half at the House, what the heck even are these nerfs etc.] Pretty sure if ya drink too much coffee you shrivel up and turn into an angry chicken mummy.

[ The rest of that just zoomed on by, and yeah he completely missed that dig? That is not even close to how he would describe Sandy. In his defense there are many sparkles in the way. ]

[ And motes of light, much line face and sharp looks. Not to mention comments he took as compliments that shouldn't have been. Cut a star a break, one of his weaknesses is "too grumpy to exist". ]

[Nora's tapping his foot over here?? He's not a patient guy??? Several times he almost says something -- but he is kind of curious whether Alcor can arrive at the thing, though he might have thrown something at him if he'd come out with some completely whacky answer.

Luckily(??), he arrives at the correct whacky answer. There's a brief snort and then a fit of cackling from Nora because?? Like?? It's totally legit.]

It ain't the outside that's a mummy!! It's totally the insides that're shriveling into a black husk! Like a stupid coffee bean!!

[Total dragging happening here but he seems extra pleased about it.]

The inside...I understand why you may think that way, but I do not.

[ Another silence where he turns over his thoughts and feelings in his hand, an unsolvable rubix cube. ]

He is not the first individual I have met to have such a bitter disposition. But despite that he does not push me away and we make time for each other like humans do. He is difficult yes, but I cannot view it as a bad thing.

[ There's a lot there and a lot of projection, but there's something genuine about it too. ]

[There's a pause, a huff that's almost a growl and he looks away. Alcor why are you like this!! Stop making it weird!!!]

An' now you've gone and thought too deep into it. It's not THAT deep.

[It's a little bit sulky, Nora shifting like he can literally phase back to normal conversation.]

It's all bitter and beans and it's got nothing to do with humans!! Humans're probably even worse, especially here. [there's a sliver of resentment there, but it isn't actually directed towards anyone in the conversation -- perhaps surprisingly] Anyway, he's still a chicken.

It's not? [ Fluttering eyelashes at this. ] I cannot help but think that way.

[ Or feel that way, no matter the person or situation. He considers this more for several seconds. ]

I suppose his wings are white, so it is not the most inaccurate adjective to prescribe to him.
